Why Pac fans should NOT want the Prov fight.

I'm in the mismatch camp. Pacquiao v Marquez should be next, if JMM retires then Pacquiao v Bradley instead.

Pac absolutely thrives against guys like Provodnikov.

1) Pacquiao would **** Provin***ov up, they're in different leagues as a fighter. Even though Pacquiao has fallen from his previous heights, his fight with Rios showed that he has enough left in the tank to take out D class fighters. 2) The sentiments of this thread are beyond hilarious. Arguing that Pacquiao shouldn't take a fight against a man in his weight class, because it would be a tough outing.

IF the two fight... Pac wins it. Why? Brawlers are one dimensional fighters. Pac's speed, footwork, and use of angles would out do Ruslan just like it had done to Rios. Fight won't happen because the fighters pretty much share the same training team. But if it did happen it would be pretty explosive, Manny would take some punishment but he would dish out way more punishment than he takes, similar to the Cotto fight, and I think Ruslan is more likely to get KO'd than Rios because he wouldn't shell up all night, he would be very aggressive and open himself up.

Pacquiao is faster, and hits harder than Provo. If Provo goes toe to toe with manny, he might get KTFO.

It doesn't matter if Pac fans want the fight or not because its not happening! -BOTH are under the same coaches -BOTH have sparred each other (Ruslan has helped Manny for numerous fights) -RUSLAN had stated himself he has no ambitions nor wishes to ever fight Pac because of the respect he has for him. If I could find the site which said this I would gladly bring it up IF the two fight... Pac wins it. Why? Brawlers are one dimensional fighters. we saw what speed does to Prov...Tim's pillowfisted ass wrecked him...PAC darting in and out from weird angles would confuse Prov and it will get ugly sure the threat is there but once PAC gets in rhythm, it will be another punching bag in therei But you got to remember ruslan has a lot of rds sparring pac to get his timing down and rhythm. Brandon didnt really test pacs chin much. He might have gotten in one or two good shots. But unless pacs chin is done hed beat Provo. Not enough stamina and PAC too fast. Would be even worse without having roach in his camp

If this fight will made PACMAN will teach PROV a boxing lesson.

It would be stupid to fight Prov. Think about it: If Pac took it easy on RIOS, then how do you think he would treat his sparring buddy? lol

No need for this fight at all. They're friends and apparently don't want to do it. It would be one thing if this was a money maker but off the heels of the Macau PPV news -- I mean does anyone think this would do any better? Ruslan is even less known than freaking Rios. It's pointless. Pac needs to fight big names or just hang it up. He has nothing else to prove, and certainly not against the likes of Provodnikov (with all due respect).

If this fight is made, it will be another flop PPV. If Arum tried to do it in China, China would end up banning Arum:rofl:

I'd rather Pac face Bradley, and not only fight the bigger name, but someone that won't soften him up for Floyd. Pac's gonna be slurring his words by the time he fights Floyd, IF he fights Floyd. No I'd say both have qualities that are better than the other, Provodnikov's defense and the way his face swells is the reason why this fight would be an ugly one for him. I agree it would be ugly, but expecting Pac to score a highlight reel KO on him is a little much. He can slice and dice his face up without knocking the guy cold, that almost certainly wouldn't happen.

Hard to know really. Manny probably doesn't have any fights left as an elite level fighter either way. Would it be better for him to give us a few classic wars while he's still up to it?
