Matthysse's Swollen Eye Not From Punch (Video)

Im sorry man, I cant sit back and listen to this anymore. This is idiotic man, So the f*ck what his eye was swollen! This is BOXING not Hop Scotch, Not Jump rope, Not marbles. This is BOXING, WAR, BATTLE! Who gives a damn about his eye man, fight through it. I saw a video on here where a boxer with a dangling dislocated arm KO a guy. I so sick of all this "If this" of "If that", If you aunt had a d*ck she'd be your uncle. Enough already. Here's an IF: If Boxer A had any real skill he would have found a way to beat Boxer B. I'm tired of all the excuses for why men who are making million dollar paydays aren't prepared or equipped with the skill/stamina/knowledge they need to win. They lost, get over it. They should go back to the gym and work on a plan B, C, D and E to fully prepare themselves just in case any unfortunate event might present itself to them in the ring. Yea things happen in the ring and there is nothing that can be done. He did fight through it so I'm not sure what your point is there. The thread was made to show what a freak accident this was and not a calculated move like danny and his fans seem to think. You say that if he had any real skill he would have adjusted and won anyway but that is taking credit away from both garcia and matthysse. He did make adjustments to fight with one eye but its not easy, he was also in with a real good fighter in garcia and to completely adjust your game and still beat a top fighter is extremely difficult. Anyone that isn't a complete matthysse nuthugger that knows anything about boxing knows that all in all danny deserved to win the fight. But anyone that isn't a complete garcia nuthugger (everyone criticizes the matthysse fans but danny's fans are just as bad) knows that it was a close fight even with matthysse fighting most of it with one eye and not a complete beatdown like some people make it out to be. It's danny's decision bc he holds all the belts and won the fight but a rematch is definitely warranted. I'd love to see one and honestly unless he goes up to 147 I really don't see who else makes as much sense for either guy as them fighting eachother again

Nothing more than an example of "sh*t happens." Unfortunate, but he still had his chances. Only thing that makes me angry is when people deny that the swelled eye changed the fight. Lucas lost 3 rounds and his scorecard lead because of that. It's tough enough to win with two eyes, let alone one. The eye-swelling was a game changer. Matthysse controlled the early rounds, but Garcia started turning the fight around after the swelling. Coincidence? It was tough luck on Lucas's part, but it's a fight. Shit happens, indeed.

This video proved absolutely nothing except for cry babies looking for excuses.

It wasn't from a punch it was the wrist area on the right glove that hit Matthysse's eye when Garcia was flailing his arm trying to block a Lucas attack which swelled instantly. I remember seeing this video a couple days after the fight and while reading through the other thread didn't see any mention of this with people still insisting it was through accumilation. It was dumb luck and one could argue whether or not it was legal considering it wasn't the fist area on the glove. Not saying it was an intentional foul but had it been stopped due to the swelling it should have gone to the cards not ruled a TKO. damn that's pretty clear. They definitely need a rematch. I would still favor Danny but only slightly, it will be very competitive

We never crawled out of anything. The world saw Garcia being a coward and cheating his way to a win. He was roided out, the judges were crooked, the tape blinded him. Bottom line is he's still undefeated. Damn-you sound desperate! Garcia was being a coward and roided out....smfh@ that non-sense!

Yea i was terrified at the thought of Floyd fighting Matthysee.... :rofl: floyd haters eh hahaha Floyd its just in another level, Mathysse its great dont get me wrong but he would be easy work, just another guy with power and everything else its just "good". No I am saying if Lucas had beat Garcia, Floyd would of ducked him. I am also saying even now hes a far better opponent than Khan or/& Ortiz and Guerrero was. They're not top welters though. It was a close fight until that not sure lucas was winning or not but. Rematch would be badass but I'm sure Danny looks elsewhere.
