Maidana = slow and overrated puncher.
Mathysse = legit so that's a good win, I'll give you that.
Bailey = huge banger but come on he's 55 years old he throws 1 shot per round and lands 2 shots per fightThe conversation was about power and Bailey's age didn't prevent him from knocking out a young, unbeaten fighter in Mike Jones. Maidana is far from overrated as a puncher.
Your talking about beating him. I said he poses a difficult style matchup. Not that he beats everybody at 147. There are plenty of welterweights I would pick to beat him so I actually agree.
I know you aren't saying that but I think it's been proven that the latter is also not true.
So we're just going back and forth because of my choice to use the word "anyone" instead of "many"?
Well yeah, because that's what you said. The two words have different meanings so it's pretty important to the statement that you said "anyone" meaning there's not a single fighter who wouldn't have a difficult fight with Alexander which just isn't true.
Your talking about beating him again. So I agree. There are several welterweights I would pick to beat him. I never said he was the best at 147 and that he would beat them all.
I'm not just talking about beating him.
The 3 people who have beaten him beat him clearly and two of which didn't have much difficulty in doing so.
How doesn't it? If Kotelnik can beat you clearly then surely there's plenty other better fighters with all round better ability that could do the same?

Obviously he's a difficult match up for some, for many. But everyone? No definitely not.

Bradley beat him easily, Kotelnik beat him easily and Matthysse beat him clearly, had a few issues in a few rounds but overal beat him relatively easily or atleast clearly.
If those 3 can beat him clearly then I'd imagine there's plenty more who can.

Thurman is not gonna stand there to get clinch, he moves around whilst throwing bombs/ counters, trying to tie up isn't gonna be as easy. Even then Thurman is big WW who can easily fight at '54.
If a guy needs a robbery to beat Kotelnik I would say he's not elite but that says nothing about him posing a difficult style matchup.
There are plenty of top contenders I would put in that category.

They both unquestionably beat him as did Matthysse.
I don't think Kotelnik was down after 6 at all he outboxed him pretty comprehensively most of the way through and Kotelnik really isn't that good either.
If a guy needs a robbery to beat Kotelnik then I wouldn't say they're a difficult fight for anyone especially considering he's been soundly beaten two other times.
Bradley's fight was ugly and dull absolutely but he still won easily. He won the majority of the rounds before Devon quit.

Very little difficulty is exaggerating. Kotelnik took awhile to adjust. If I recall he swept the later rounds but was down after 6. I think I had it something 115-113 or 116-112 Kotelnik with Devon up in the first half of the fight. And Bradleys performance was ugly and forgettable.
Very little difficulty is what Floyd did in his two fights this year.

Of course but like I said he's not only been beaten but beaten clearly 3 times.
Kotelnik and Bradley especially having very little difficulty at all.

He said Judah was the better fighter which he is. And losses don't mean your an easy walkover. Khan's been flattened twice but is still a difficult style matchup for most top contenders.

Did he? He also said Judah was a lot better than him and much more difficult so he's confused on something.
Either way, he still didn't find him difficult to beat because he beat him pretty clearly. As did Bradley and Kotelnik.
So I wouldn't say he's a difficult match up for anyone.

And Matthysse said he's the most difficult style matchup he's ever faced.

Alexander by decision. He'll have Thurman following him around, unloading, then tying him up.
Devon fights smart and is a very difficult matchup for anybody.
How so?
He's been beaten pretty soundly and clearly 3 times.

has alexander ever faced a Banger like Thurman?
Matthysse is a banger, but not sure if the same style. That was one of the worse robberies in modern times
Maidana and Mathyssee and Bailey????????? All serious punchers!
Thurman can punch from different angles whilst on the move, that's something those 3 fighters you mentioned can't do.
alexander by close UD
Thurman isn't gonna respect Alexander's power the way he did Chaves. Alexander works behind a non-authoritative jab, and Thurman got one of the best counter left hooks in the game. Can't see Alexander winning this one, really can't.
