rios is huge! i've been saying this for a while. nobody seems to believe me. it's all about fight night weights, and how you got there from your natural weight. rios is a big guy who has drained himself to absolutely nothing to make 135 and even 140. it's no surprise that he was 160 lbs against manny.

can these guys box at all? can these guys get on their toes n circle their opponent flicking a jab or what not? jeeeez retarded post Maidana would kill Rios in a real match but I think Maidana could have been one of the best in his division if only he had a world class trainer. You gotta recall that Eli said that Maidana had been sparring before Rios showed up. So gotta consider that and it was a pretty short clip we saw.

It feels like Ellie shapeshifts closer to his alien form as days pass. Brandon did more in that sparring session than he did in the entire Pac fight. Anyway, they didn't go at it too competitively, it was hard to take anything away from that. Thanks for sharing though, always appreciated! So true sadly

Maidana certainly gains more respect with 8 ounce gloves. Plus I am sure Maidana is not throwing full power here

maidana did look slow, but we dont know at what point of his workout was this sparring session, mightve been towards the end, never know cause its sure looked like it. or worser case, rios wore him down to that point smh secondly, maidana was popping rios' head back (but doesnt everyone) but he was landing clean & accurate counters. so we'll see how maidana does in 2 weeks Ellie said in the vid rios was watching maidana spar and told robert he wanted to hop in there and feel his power. So rios came in fresh while maidana had already gone some rounds in there.
