How do we know Jr has a good chin? because he took shots off a 40 year old former welterweight in Martinez? he's never felt the shots of a strong, natural super middle, and i don't think he'll like them JR has a terrific chin. it's mostly a product of his size, which will still be a factor at 168. jr shed an ungodly amount of weight to make 160. he walks around heavier / bigger than froch. he's taken hard shots and come forward for his entire career. rubio, lee, martinez, vera, all hit him with their best shots. not only does he take the punches, he hardly even blinks. it's quite clear that he's got a good chin. whether he can take punches from hard punching SMW with a ton of snap is still up in the air, but froch isn't that guy. he's got reasonably heavy hands, but his punches usually lack snap if you don't walk into them, especially in the groves fight. if froch and jr fight, expect jr to come forward.

a focused strong and well trained chavez jr will beat froch hands down...throw in heredia to provide the peds and chavez jr KOs froch.... froch is HIGHLY overrated.......

Froch would win a tough decision. Froch has slipped and Chavez is a natural Crusier so it would be brutal for the duration.

I would like to see this fight happen in Vegas. The British fans and the Mexican fans in the same arena would be insane. I would favor Froch over Chavez Jr by decision if this fight happens. I would be rooting for Chavez Jr to KO out Froch in this one. I wouldn't bet any money on it though.

Even though I wasn't impressed with his last performance, I'd take Froch.

In spite of Saturday's fight I still think Froch beats Chavez. If they fought at the same weight that is.

Chavez Jr. in a good shape and healthy? I think he could give Froch hell. It's whoever has the better chin at some point in the fight and Jr. might be better in that category. Of course, it's Jr. He probably won't be in shape and he'll lose a wide UD. In case Jr. probably won't be in shape, then he should consider quitting this sport...
