Is it becoz he was once a fan of manny? Is it the speed and power? U mean he even got his stupid fans to Beleive manny was on peds to make out that's why he wasn't taking the fight, yet he beat Mosley who Is known for using peds, yet he is terrified of manny pacman
That RJJ comparison can't really be applied. Pacquiao was caught by a punch Marquez SET UP, Rios depends on his pressure he doesn't set his opponents up man be realistic, Pacquiao was never going to get hit flush like that. Even if he was carelessly hit flush Rios punches are too telegraphed for Pacquiao to get KOd.
Let's be honest, Rios was never a high risk fight, sure there were some questions regarding Pacquiao's physical and even mental state but we would have been more worried had Rios not been a heavy duty punching bag from the start.
We'll have to agree to disagree.
The fact remains that Pac was KO'd in his last fight and facing a puncher no matter how limited is always gonna be risky. Going back to my original point, if Arum wanted to cash out putting Pac in with Rios was risky IMO.

Listen **** nut, stop making threads like this, because i t only attracts one kind of people, those who wants Floyds **** up their ass, ya get me???
We've been thru this, Floyd is a ***** who was shook of Tszyu, Margarito, Prime Cotto, close to prime Mosley and a 154lb Canelo of all people hahaaha
Fycking piece of his ****, him and his whole team ,as well as his family, nuttin but ghetto rats, they'll go back to the sewers once their money runs out and Floyd is a has been.
But Thats the case for every fight whether you are coming off a loss or not.
True but even more so if you facing a hard puncher and you were KO'd in your last fight.
Really?
Lets look at the last fighter of the decade from the 90s, Roy Jones Jr. This is a good comparison. Gets KTFO, has a come back fight and get KTFO again.
We can talk all day about how limited Rios is. The fact remained that all it would've taken is for him to land ONE punch on Pac and it could have been game over. Know one knew going into the fight how Pacs chin was going to react to being punched.

It's not fear, it's that Floyd is smart enough to know that Manny has a greater probability to win than anyone he's ever fought.
Did anyone here really believe that Canelo had a chance? Guerrero? Look at how they move in the ring compared to Floyd. They had not a damn chance.
Floyd knows that Manny will slow down as he ages. The older Manny is when they finally get in the ring, the less risk for Floyd.
You really thought that was a high risk fight? Dude, Alvarado showed that movement throws Rios off his game. Pacquiao is at a different level in terms of skill and not to mention speed. There was some risk of Pacquiao getting hurt but it wasn't high, and the year lay off plus a great training camp took care of most of the risk.

I have no clue why is the idea of Arum not caring for the fight so hard for some people to understand. I mean the Floyd and Pacquiao stans are ridiculous claiming duck. Arum doesn't need the fight (soon he will), back in 2010 when Pacquiao was a monster he had a lineup of big names that could fight Pacquiao until he retired plus a stubborn marquez always waiting on the outside. Neither really wants it because they're both in a position to fight somebody else and make great sums of money. Once in a while they mention each other and they revive the interest but for their own promotional benefit.
I'll give u Arum being a huge road block. We all know how he is but Floyd just hasn't ever seemed like he wanted any part of Pacquiao. Just my opinion.
Good point but the Rios fight was still high risk IMO given the nature of Pacs last defeat. If he'd lost to Rios its game over for Pac and the Floyd fight never happens thus losing the opportunity to cash out.

No, he knew exactly how to bounce Pacquiao back into the spotlight. Arum was talking about Pac vs Rios for a long time it didn't matter that Rios was coming off a loss. People were going to eat this fight up. Pacquiao can still fight Bradley again and people will tune in to see "reborn" Pacquiao get his revenge.

It's really more about Jealousy than anything. Floyd will never get a respect of his countrymen unlike Pac. All the money in the world can't buy respect and love, which is why Floyd doesn't care if fighting Pac will be his biggest payday because a win over Pac will not change the fact that Manny is just beloved all over the world. Just look at Manny's loss to Marquez, he got KTFO, and he did not lose an ounce of respect from his fans.
What FLoyd and some of his fanatics will never understand is that his biggest problem is his character, not his skills. Just look at the video when Floyd started getting mad about Pac fighting here to bring his money back to the Philippines? What was that all about? That's extreme bitterness of not being appreciated by Americans. All these years he still doesn't get it.
Marquez I'm sure is suffering the same way.
I agree with everything you said until the last two paragraphs.
U make out like Floyd has asked for testing throughout his career. He only started talking about testing when demand was growing for the Pac fight. He never asked for testing before 'retirement' and didn't ask Marquez for it when he came out of 'retirement' - probably cos he knew Marquez didn't stand a chance. He has to carry on asking for testing to keep up appearances.
Secondly, if Arum really wanted to cash out would the perfect time not be after Pacs back-to-back loses against TB and JMM?

lol.
nobody at this level is scared of anyone. its all politics and ppl in the background not wanting to risk their investments in certain fighters to go down the drain. but fighters dont fear anyone at top level simply because you cant get to top level if thats in you.
you have to walk through a hundred boogeymen to get to this point, you ppl think world titles are just handed over? hell no. you have to fight so called scary guys all the time, if you come out of it as successfully as floyd has why would you all of a sudden start getting scared of ppl? makes no sense.
pacquiao is just another fighter to floyd, just like he is to everyone else at top level, just like floyd is to everyone else at top level. think about it, even when no hopers get in the ring with manny and floyd they still think they can and will win. if they didnt they wouldnt have got to that point to begin with.
at the advice f bob arum manny refused to do the testing floyd requires for all his opponents, mosley included. manny later changed his tune on testing but then asking for way too much money instead, again at the advice of one bob arum. thats why the fight hasnt happened, arum stays in pacquiaos ear feeding him lies and making the fight impossible to get done.
arum knows floyd puts it on manny and didnt want his cash cow to lose his value, as soon as he has milked the last buck out of pacquiao he will he cash out and send him to get slaughtered by floyd.

Manny turns down floyd-floyd is scared. Jmm and Tim turn down manny-they are scared. Only in NSB.
Its a credit to Rick Reeno and the rest of the management of this site that people with this type of backwards logic are allowed to post here.
No hating or nothing but when it comes to fighting Pacquiao, Floyd just doesn't seem to want anything to do with it. Idk why.

Here's why Mosley clocked him almost put him down Pacquaio can do the same, but the difference is Pacquiao is not going to gas out after 2 rounds
