Groves fighting style reminds me of Haye ALOT!

Stance/Powerfull Right hand/lateral movement & counter punching.. Like a mini me of Haye at SMW... everybody love groves now... Groves style is based around Haye's though, almost similar, apart from Haye is bigger and hit harder, somebody tell me different... obviously they were on same team for last 5 years its funny cus Haye had alot of haters, gets discredited alot even though he run his mouth with klitschko and had dodgy injuries, i always rated him... If you a groves fan you must respect Haye's style, thats where it came from I don't think anyone had an issue with Haye's style, it was more his penchant for running his mouth, making excuses and pulling out of fights that people did not like.

i disagree, haye knows how to move about.. he wouldve been knocked out long time ago if he had no footwork.. obviously the size difference is gonna make Groves footwork look faster I never said no footwork, I said he doesn't understand it Hence why he couldn't get near klitschko and kept jumping towards him in a bid to close the distance rather than trying to actually work in. And no it wasn't just a tactic or he surely would have changed it up over the 12 rounds. There is virtually no synchronicity between his hands and feet Moving away is a whole lot easier than coming forwards properly against someone who can move their feet correctly and quickly which is why his technical footwork was massively exposed there

Similar in some ways, although Haye is more athletically gifted whereas Groves is more technical Both have devastating power, low guard style. Groves is exciting to watch

I said the exact same thing to my brother when we was watching the fight, his style is a mirror of Hayes.

Their styles are very different imo. Haye has a reflex based defense and next to no offensive polish. He is a natural counterpuncher with a great combination of handspeed and power, but he is not good at generating his own offense. Groves is less physically gifted but has much better all around technique, and is a much more orthodox fighter.

theres been like 17 threads about this already. they're trained by the same guy. they both have the same stamina issues and gas after 5 rounds too
