In the build up to both of their fights both of these guys did a lot of sh1t talking but who do you think actually proved to have the heart of a warrior and who's balls shrunk.
Groves, for a majority of the fight, was able to fight his fight which was to box Froch and catch him in exchanges with his better defense. When was Rios ever able to fight his fight?
Rios wasn't scared, he was just getting hit with big shots, and often, and unable to avenge the trespass because Pacquiao was turning him and using his superior skills to make Rios miss badly. Dude was outclassed.
Answer this, was Gatti scared of Mayweather? Or just outclassed?
That still has nothing to do with the question. Here I'll make it easier for you. Both fighters talked a lot of sh1t before the fight, who backed it up more. Simple question.
I don't care about their different styles. There has been plenty of fighters that were out classed but still went for broke. Rios just tried to survive.
If Pac is that much greater then he should not have talked all that macho bullsh1t just to shell up half the fight and give us a boring sparring session. He said in the post fight interview that Pac couldn't hurt him so wtf go for it then Mr macho man....oh wait I forgot he couldn't find his balls.
Well the punching bag didn't stand a chance and Groves almost beat Froch... So Groves was able to talk the talk and almost walked the walk... Rios just talked and almost went off on kellerman for speaking the truth...
even so, that has nothing to do with "Machoness", it has to do with each person's respective opponent, and each person's individual skillset as it relates to each fight.
Groves has that long upjab and is far more athletically gifted. He was in against a guy he could box and land crisp, authoritative shots.
Rios is sloppy, slower, with slow feet, and not quick handspeed... He was outclassed against a guy that can throw 10 punch combinations with ease.
Different situations. Not comparable in the slightest.

They both new who they were facing and they both chose to talk a lot of macho bullsh1t prior to the fight so they should have both at least tried to go for broke and prove all the sh1t they were talking. One did and one was obviously scared of his opponent and looked worse then a sparring partner.

quality of opponent and that opponent's handspeed, or the lack thereof, has nothing to do with shelling up?

Yeah but none of that has anything to do with the question.
They both talked a lot of sh1t before the fight so who tried and who shelled up like a little b1tch.
