I don't think this fight will happen, but it's interesting to speculate. Floyd showed that movement will trouble Canelo, although I believe Floyd is superior defensive wise, Mannys movement might trouble Canelo more than Floyd's.
I think Manny wins a close decision, or is Canelos power too much at 154?
I think Trout is way more overhyped than canelo. Dude had one win against an unrested cotto with a wrong game plan with diaz and everyone like is OOOO MY GOD what a slick precise boxer.
he definitely loses because he would be outweighed by a good 20 pounds....170+ pounds to 150
floyd was outweighed by this i would have to take pac easy decision too
Canelo hits harder than Pacman.
Point is?
Canelo isn't very accurate. He has shined against opponents who were gun-shy. Canelo thrives off of those swarming spurts, and I just can't see Manny falling in that trap. Matter of fact, that's when we see Manny's best work; when opponents open up.
This is one fight where I think Manny being undersized works in his favor. It favors him especially in the exchanges. I can't see Canelo's jab even being a factor in this fight (Manny has had this subtle trait to negate an opponents jab through the better half of his career, and I honestly don't know why).
I honestly kind of see this fight playing out a bit like the Rios fight. In the sense that I can see Canelo getting frustrated trying to stalk Manny down, and Manny turning him over and over again.
He had incredible amounts of trouble with the speed of Floyd and Trout.. He certainly won't be able to take Manny's speed on top of his power.

floyd didn't fight canelo at 154. movement will always trouble drained fighters.
Manny wouldn't even step in the ring against a battered, flat footed, pass primed, brick free Margarito at 154.
:haha: Look here. We have a Floyd fan discussing "ducking Margarito" .... you guys make me laugh!
Did you not see what Manny just did to p4p top 10 Rios? Manny stops Canelo in 8 or less
After what Canelo saw what Manny did to Rios. Canelo would demand the fight at 160 in Mexico.
:omfg: :haha:
Bushbaby and I agree about a hilarious post.
Whatever guys, Canelo has really impressed me even in the Floyd loss. Golovkin has all the hype, flash and pizzazz in the world right now, but five years from now he'll be willing to trade it for half the patience of Canelo.
I'll bet you accounts Bushbaby...in three years Canelo has a strap and Golovkin is an afterthought.
Pac has already said he will not fight above 147 after the Margarito fight. He just isn't big enough to compete with guys that are light heavy weights come fight night.
Canelo would just box Manny all day with his height/reach advantage. Canelo is very orthodox and very well schooled, Manny would beat GGG before he could beat Canelo.
