So, Froch just got dropped and was getting his ass handed to him by a journeyman.
His defense - upstairs and downstairs - just has too many holes to save him from Golovkin's deadly head-body-head combinations. Golovkin is better than Groves in every aspect (speed, power, jab, accuracy, ring IQ, chin) and he wouldn't put himself in a vulnerable position against predictable Froch. I'm not saying it would be an easier fight than Martinez, but I just don't see GGG having any serious problems against Froch, if they ever met.
A lot of people were saying GGG wouldn't beat Froch after the Stevens fight, but what do yall reckon now?
I'd actually put half my bank account on Golovkin if this fight was ever made.
EDIT: BTW, Froch wouldn't have a damn chance against Ward in a rematch.
I was only joking HB. Although I will say AA hides behind a guard for the first half of most of his fights.
I like GGG and I favour him to beat Froch, but as I said before it really is wild speculation because we just haven't seen Golovkin at that level and at that weight, in the pros.
Yeah me too, but wouldn't bet the house on it
He mostly blows out non contenders, and wasn't all that scared vs AA, till late at least. Only vs Froch was he close to that scared, even there he committed more at times

Barely any, he's excellent when he can back a guy up, and average when he can't. It's why Ouma had so much success, GGG can easily be lured into a brawl, and he's not going to win against Froch like that.
For a massive puncher its not a crazy idea to go toe to toe with a featherfist
Dirrell's pretty terrified of his shadow.

Hell no. GGG keeps his hands up and shows some head movement here and there.

why aren't the champions accepting his challenge, when he's constantly calling people out with desperation, like "Sergio Martinez, Peter Quillin, ANYBODY! Guys, PLEEASE! I am champion"? They're ducking him for a reason. Fighters understand the situation.
Sergio Martinez is injured and no one is going to turn down a PPV fight with Cotto to fight Golovkin. Quillin is on Showtime.
Golovkin is certainly high risk, low reward. That doesn't mean he should get all these hypothetical victories when his best real win is over a shopworn Matt Macklin.
Macklin was clear cut top 10. Stevens and Proksa were also Ring top 10, but much more questionable. But remember how terrified Dirrell was of Stevens

This is typical reactionary sh1t.
Golovkin hasn't fought anyone. He seems to get better the more he doesn't fight anyone. It's like the Paul Williams disease

fan boys make it hard to enjoy GGG just shut up and let the man do his thing he hasn't even been in the ring with a top 10 mw
Macklin. Made him look like he didn't belong in the top 100.
if you can't see the EXTREME speed difference between golovkin and groves i would argue that you're pretty much blind.
groves has much more speed not only with his hands but also with his legs.
it's like comparing day to night...........
the speed is what was causing froch trouble (many of those shots froch simply could not see because they were lightning)
golovkin is a much slower smaller guy (& to be honest who's to say that he hits harder then groves at smw) groves is a lot more athletic then golovkin...........
joke.
It's not just speed that causes Froch trouble, it's ring intelligence and accuracy. Dirrell is faster than Ward yet Ward did better against Froch. These unorthodox fighters often get exposed by fundamentally sound boxers.

He has always been very easy to hit, I don't see how it was a shock to anyone.
Well shows you show the boxing IQ on Boxingscene is quite low, Froch has to one of the most easiest fighters to hit at the moment. It doesn't really take a genius to work that one out.
