What do you think about Pacquiao vs Canelo? Does this fight make sense if Pacquiao gets past Rios? I think a fight against Mayweather is always a possibility but Mayweather is probably waiting to get Pacquiao at the end of his career.
It will never happen. but if it did...Hand speed would make Canelo look stupid. Floyd dusted him off for 12 boring rounds.
Manny would beat the living shlt out of him...then stop him.
Ill take canelo. Just like jmm when manny presses for a ko-bang-sleepy time.

Hahhahahahahhahahahhaha
I got Pac in this one. But not by stoppage. Id say 55-45 just because of the size. Pac is much better, but he likes to trade. So he could get caught. Styles makes fights, so you guys don't have to diminish Canelo for the sake of Pac. No way is the cheater or old Oscar as good as Canelo. Just style wise I got Floyd doing better against Canelo, just like style wise Pac would've always did better against Ricky. But I doubt this fight happens. Floyd-Pac shouldn't have to fight bigger guys just because people want them to lose. If they choose to fight GGG, Sergio, or anyone else at 54-60 then fine. But if not they shouldn't get crucified, just because the haters want them to lose. They're both WW's.
In every other division in boxing lets take the top 2 fighters out of the equation. Now compare the next 10-15 against the welterweights next 10-15. Broner, Thurman, Bradley, Marquez, DGarcia, Matthysse, Rios, RGuerrero, Provod, Alexander, Khan, Maidana, Karaas, DChavez, ect. these are all at the least good fighters, no bums. But Floyd-Pac get called cherry pickers for fighting in a loaded division. If they're cherry pickers or cowards, what do we call all the other title holders in boxing?
Canelo= Goldenboy, Showtime, 154 fighter
Manny= Top Rank, HBO 147 fighter who only fights 140 fighters
FIGHT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AND HAS 0 CHANCE OF HAPPENING
I can imagine the fight happening and this biased fanboy change to
"Well, he's fighting Floyd's leftovers" Emmm...."Canelo was never the same after Floyd beated him"
:bottle:
I am one of the few who is telling it like it is. Floyd made few penetrating punches. He missed most of punches or just hit gloves. Because he stayed just far enough away to touch him but not hit with any power. Floyd stood in front of him for short periods of time, when Canelo came forward he quickly flinched or moved. Floyd moved 90% of time. This is the problem with worshipping this guy. People refuse to see the fight as it was. Floyd was the avoider.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Your one of the ones who hate the fact that Floyd walked him down. We all seen the same fight, it looked like the Ortiz fight combined with the JMM fight. You aint telling NAYTHAN like it is LOL.
Floyd glued his toe right in front of Canelo's toe. If you wanna say that he rarely landed, because of Canelo covering up the entire time I agree on that. Floyd did land on his gloves allot. But he was letting his hands go trying to beat his azz, cornering him against the rope, pushing him back the entire time. When Canelo came forward, Floyd calmly WALKED flatfooted, going backwards, allowing Canelo's punches to hiss by his head so he could still be close enough to land counters and engage with Canelo.
And guess what; I DONT WORSHIP Floyd. Im not biased for him or against him like you all are. I was SHOCKED by what that little man did offensively. It was LEGENDARY and it was an ATG performance.
Quit making up lies. Floyd didnt stay at a distance. He was right in front of him. But he can move his body so much, in the time it takes for Canelo to throw a punch. So it looks like Canelo is fighting a hologram or a cartoon character. Floyd stood right in front of him, and sometimes he jumps back to avoid, or slips, or rolls, or does some small movement to avoid the shot by inches. Canelo was the one who moved backwards when Floyd walked him down. Floyd came forward from the opening round.

pac by ko it will be like pac vs margarito.
Margarito was slow, washed up, no power, coming off a brutal beat down to Mosley and that bum fight in Mexico he had. He was Pac's punching bag. Nelo is young, in his prime, strong, nice defense. Not saying He would beat Pac, although I kind of think it would be Pac's first time fighting a really dangerous foe. And not dangerous in a bradley way(skills, youth, but no real dangerous power) But real violent way.
YOU love Floyd greatly but that is complete bullcrap. It was Floyd who did not come to fight. He stayed at a distance. He left never landed because he was too nervous to get close. Floyd did all the moving. The more I have watched that fight, I see that Floyd landed "zero". He won because he has a reputation and gets style points for being evasive.
In relation to the farce of Floyd "fighting" Canelo. He did not fight.
Pac would at least fight. I think Canelo would be too good for him and too big. Fight probably won't happen

He was taking advantage of someone that can't move and punch. That's really all it was.
All the way offense, or all the way defense for Nelo. Just like Ortiz.
That's why I said it was a display of artificially walking someone down.
And yes, I give him credit for that, because he has the head movement and foot speed to not get hit back while pursuing, but he wasn't commiting to any exchange.
That's why I called it artificial.
I can agree on some of this. Like against Ortiz, he had a tactical advantage. Ortiz is so offensive minded that he cant fight going backwards. Nelo is not necessarily offensive minded, but he likes to box flatfooted and also cant make a foe run into shots. But I do think he committed to some exchanges. Its just that sometimes he punches you with the tip of his gloves for a scoring shot. But he doesnt just potshot like that the whole fight. He does whatever his opponent is going to let him get away with. But with Canelo being so huge, it almost looked like a ciurcus fight to see a man so tiny walking down like that. It looked unreal.
Pac has a fight coming up so you can make a thread about a fantasy fight between Pac and Hagler and his NSB crew would say he demolishes Hagler. Just the way it is
oscar was old, but he was a beast at some point..
canelo is young but has never done sh1t ...pac aint no jose cotto nor alfonso gomez now ...
pac by ko
You're kidding yourself if you think that version of Oscar is better than a 23 year old Canelo. A lot of Pacquiao's opponents have been past their prime. I have a hard time thinking of a prime, elite fighter he beat without a catch-weight

May I ask who was at their natural weight at 147? Would you say Pac should be really fighting at 140 or 147? He could fight at both and most of the previous pac fights at 147. How many has he actually weighed in at 147 vs 142? I think it's more of a cushion for him than actually having to drop down to 147 like many boxers.
You forget Shane fought how many times in those 2 years? twice.
Margo wasn't a legit fight at the time? I think your looking at things in present tense vs what the common knowledge before Pac tore him down and retired him! CottoVSMarg was just a promotional fight and his eye became a problem because of Pac.
Do you think Rios was too big or too small for 140? Wasn't he complaining about the weight his last 140 fight?
Now, who else would you like Pac to fight right now? Maidana, Brook, Karass, Malignaggi? What a joke!
JMM and Bradley didn't want it with Pac because he owned them in situation. Bradley loss that fight. JMM was seconds away from being put to rest. **** happens!
Sorry to say but as others have mentioned. Rios has actually built a fan base as well as being a recognizable name because of how he is. His fights are exciting as well. It was common sense and only because he lost that fight to alvardo it's a problem.
Lol how can you say Pacs fight against Margarito was legit? Marg got knocked the **** out a year earlier, was suspended for a year, fought a bum as a tune up, was fighting Pac at a catch weight, not to mention Marg is not even that great of a fighter to begin with gtfoh
I dont know about artificial lol. Floyd's whole gameplan was to stay in front of Canelo, but in the first round Canelo moved backwards so Floyd HAD to go forward in order to get back in front of him. And yea Floyd did go completely flatfooted and walked him down the entire fight. It looked like the Ortiz fight a little. When Floyd fought going backwards, he calmly walked flatfooted, allowing Nelo to still stay in front of him in close distance, so he can counter him while going backwards. In the last few later rounds thats when he starts running a little bit. But give Props. Manny cant do what Floyd did to Nelo. He would run in and out like he did with Hatton

It was an artificial walk down. He recognized that Canelo can't fight as well going backward, so he pressed in the beginning, because Canelo wasn't expecting that.
And throughout the fight, Floyd wasn't stalking the way you make it seem. It was a boxing match, primarily.
It was jab, can't see me at it's finest.

And notice what Floyd did to Canelo. From the opening round he stalked him and then he started walking him down from the 4th after Canelo lowblowed him! #Skillz
