Demaidana gets royally starched in two weeks. Don't be surprised whatsoever.
Not saying Broner won't win but Maidana isn't De Marco. Much higher risk fight for Broner, Maidana hits harder, boxes better and has beaten better fighters than De Marco.
Some of you guys have an amateur outlook on Broner's style. But it's said on purpose, so go figure. You say his balance is bad-wrong. You say that he is a glorified Berto-so wrong.
Broner showed a little inexperience early in the fight when Paulie moved. Broner was trying to solve the speed and movement of Broner. He went head hunting against Paulie probably because of the talk before the fight. Some of you even pathetically equated that to a loss or close fight because the judges said so. You knew the judges were wrong, but you had to ride with them because you don't like Broner. Fine.
Maidana has a minute chance of winning. #Mynoot
You can talk about "if the Broner who fought so and so" shows up till you're blue in the face, but every fight and every threat is dealt with differently.
Broner has learned from the Paulie fight as fighters learn from every fight, and he will put on a show against Maidana. He's going to beat Maidana's ass, and I grew to respect Maidana.
Nothing personal, but I expect Broner to destroy Maidana.
Let's see...
An ego that big would never appear on camera looking the state that he did. Heavy, wrinkled, and ungroomed. (Looked like he missed his barber by 2 weeks).
That was the first tall tale sign that he's been doing a little too much partying. His lifestyle will catch up to him, it will be his downfall.
Twitter pictures of hookers going down on him.
A sex video that followed.
Instagram photos of the amount of alcohol he can consume
and non stop flaunting of excessive spending.
He's living the life, I won't knock it. But he's not discipline. These things catch up. He'll be humbled and will be better for it IMO.
Maidana isn't the guy to do it though. I expect him to get Demarco'd
Interesting. Do you think Maidana has the technical ability to consistently land clean shots in Broner though? I can easily see Broner struggling to keep Maidana off if his power isn't getting any respect, he clearly isn't very good on his feet. But Maidana for his part isn't exactly a precision puncher, and while Broner might be right in front of him he's not bad at all when it comes to rolling and deflecting shots.
I think Maidan can break him down with his power. There was a reason why Broner fought Paulie instead of one of the other tougher punchers in the division. I don't think he has the power to keep Maidana away and that he will be leary of Maidana's power.
Also take in account that we have no evidence thus far that Broner has even average power as a WW, and watch every fight since the De Leon fight he just gets slower and slower in addition to him being a static target easy to find for Chino.
Yeah, I've seen posters claiming he stands like that because he can and he could dance around the ring all night if he wanted to. I disagree and think he does it because he will tire out trying to move around. He is a pocket boxer as long as he is fighting in his pocket. I've seen AB hit cleanly by the last 4 boxers he has faced and he does appear to be slowing down as he moves up in weight. Chino hill slug away at him until he breaks him down and as you said, he might not have the power to keep Chino off of him either.

so what u betting on this fight bro? ill take broner over maidana, what u got?
I think people are underestimating Maidana in this fight. Broner had to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, just like Bradley against Provodnikov.
Add in the fact that he thinks nothing of what Maidana can do and you have yourself a repeat scenario. A slicker, faster, better boxer getting tagged by a slower, less technical guy with a lot of power. The difference is that Tim is the goods and Broner is not and he won't be able to take the heat, he'll likely wilt.

He may have been 170, he was fat when he went on his music tour thing. I mean belly...

Is that James Toney on Floyd's t-shirt?
Do you see Maidana being able to hit him clean then? I think this fight will tell a lot about Broner's power. If it carries, I can see him looking great in this fight. If doesn't, he could be in for a bad night.

The fight I really want to see is Danny Garcia vs Broner. I think Maidana has more than a shot, but he is quite one dimensional and can be outboxed, Garcia would show Broner what time it is.
Very hittable is an overstatement, and don't sleep on AB
The very formidable Gavin Rees who is like 5'3 tagged Broner. Amazing defense by AB lolololol.
Dude is gonna have to drain himself to lose the weight, he'll get tagged and hurt by Maidana. He may win but he gets hurt in this fight, probably dropped at some point.

Dude, if the Broner that fought Paulie shows up against Chino then Broner is getting beat down.
Floyd Sr. Is on record saying that once Broner fights someone with a pulse, that shoulder roll is going right out of the window. It's static. His foot work is poor. He isn't the KO artist he was at the lower weights. Broner is very hittable and I think Maidana has a good chance of stopping him, because we all know the fix will be in if it goes to the cards.
I'm not sold on Broner; at ALL. Sure he has fast hands, mediocre boxing skills but that's about it.
Ortiz Thurman Crawford all beat Broner in my opinion. And I think Ghost gives him the Berto treatment.

I really can't wait for this fight.
Broner's done a fine job marketing himself. I actually want to see whether he's upper echelon or if he's a fraud.
Let's get it. :boxing:
