I find it hypocritical and also ironic that some people expect things out of some fighters but not their idols or favorite fighters.
People balked at Donaire-Darchinyan, Mayweather-Guerrero, and other match ups but these guys have fought and beat champion after champion back to back.
Pac-Man is tuning up with Rios who never fought at the weight, Marquez has done nothing at ww except beat Manny, and Bradley beat two non-entities at 140 in Abregu and Provodnikov before a win over Marquez.
If he gets by Rios, he needs to fight a real threat at welterweight, move down to junior-welterweight or retire.

WHat more do you****ing want????
He challenged bradley to a rematch, he said no
He challenged JMM to avenge his defeat, he said hell no
He has challenged floyd for years now, and floyd said oh **** no!!!
what else can he do???
STFU and let him fight
As did clottey, and cotto for those who watched the fight. Hatton and Dlh fought soft competition and both got beat up on.
so clottey and cotto both lost their fights before fighting pac except they fought each other. so they both lost. there were no winners.
If it was an extremely risky fight, why is manny such a big favorite to win? How many other fighters have had an extremely risky fight where they were -$450 (4-1) favorite to win?
You mean HBO and SHo pay floyd all that cake for tune up fights? Man, floyd has it so easy. WHy him and not other, more popular fighters?
You've had this explained to you dozens of times, gimpy.
It really is this ^^^ simple, yet you know that these piss stained floydgimps arent really familiar with boxing, as if they were actually real or even half knowledgeable about the sport they would already know that this is an extremely risky fight coming off that kind of loss. Wankers, fanboys and eejits...every single one. No exceptions.:nonono:

only Floyd is allowed tune ups for 8 straight years.

Pacquiao just got KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT in his last fight. How many times does that shit have to be explained? You Pac-haters already want him to go for the big guns right away.

Not many are gonna criticize him. If they didn't do so with Mosley, Margarito or the fourth fight with Marquez then why would they do it with Rios? You could go back a few years and criticize him if you wanted, but why? He seems to be excused for his picking of opponents
I don't think tune ups should cost the fans $60 ... Of course you'll turn around and say "it's a business and if they're willing to pay so be it" .. But it still takes away from the sport as a whole.
Is this a tune up for Rios? hell no.
You just don't like Pac, I guarantee you, you never sh1tted on Mike Tysons tune ups on PPV most of his ppv were against scrubs who were scared to fight.
some people like action and Pacman and Rios will bring the heat.
Pac's an old, shot fighter who got iced in his last fight
Roach wants a fight Pac can look impressive in for his comeback
given his performances the last 2 yrs, that's not even a given vs Rios
not sure why people pretend not to understand the situation
there's other things Floyd poofters can troll Pac about
What's with these threads lately? You do realize Pacquiao is coming off a fight where he just got ktfo? This is what a tuneup fight, is a guy who can sell the fight like Rios, but at the same time a guy we all know that Pacquiao should beat. Rios was basically a middleweight fight night against Alvarado I highly doubt Manny is the bigger guy here.

This guy could be another larry's alt making the same thread yesterday.
I guess a lot of people are forgetting Pac just got ktfo...sure Rios has that tailor made style for Pac but Rios has power, I expect Rios to come in looking fresh and strong at ww.
Stop dancing. If you whole heartedly believe Khan is next, stand on that. When it's announced that Khan isn't next don't come out talking about how "Floyd changed his mind, he really wanted Khan but decided not to" BS which is what you're alluding to in your post. If he's next, say so. I see you dudes on this site everyday criticizing everything the man does, stand by it. He could be waiting to see what Manny decides to do once he blows past Rios, that's the most money. He could be waiting to see what Martinez is going to do. He might want to unify with Alexander, he might have Garcia move up. He could be waiting on the Broner/Maidana winner. Bottom line is, nobody knows what's next for that grown man. To act is if you do know is purely idiotic. There is no evidence that Khan is next but for some reason many of you Floyd critics believe it too be true. I don't get it. Nitpicking at everything Mayweather is too tough of a job for me to keep up with. I do not know how you guy's can do it 24/7 365.
Ur wasting your time man. Happens every time Floyd is about to fight.
My good friend, are you willing to put actual money on this claim? You as well as many other Floyd critics seem to believe this fight has been made with no actual evidence so I just want to see if any of you are willing to go out on a limb and place a bet on it? I remember when some here were saying that Floyd was going to fight Calderon a few years ago, I guess because it's popular to make fun of Floyd's competition even though they have been consistently solid throughout his career, even more solid than the majority of active fighters. But hey, whatever. Just wanted to know if you truly believe Khan is next.
You think it depends on if Khan is competitive? That is what is being criticized!!!
The MONEY TEAM sent out their trial balloon to get the vibe on a Khan fight. Now if they think it makes them good money then that fight is as good as done. If they think it doesn't make the type of money that they want then no fight. Of course, it will also depend on what there options are.
Whoever it is, the formula still stands: Relatively low risk (opponent) and high reward ($$$$)
the welterweight division looks pretty weak and the clear majority of fighters there are with GBP. pacquiao getting a pass for literally everything is no secret but i think rios is a decent comeback fight after getting knocked the f*ck out like that. should it be on ppv? probably not. i'll be streaming it.
What's worse is when PAC was winning, his fans continuously gave him passes for fighting losers
before he got kayoed by Marquez it was still a long time before he fought a real threat at 147.
Or someone one not coming off a loss at the weight. Marquez never won at welterweight before that. Mosley lost his last fight there as did Margarito.
This has been going on a long time. stop being blind
The dude just got knocked out,, and put to sleep,,, literally put to sleep,,,,
when did donaire, serg, floyd etc,, when were they put to sleep..
in manny-rios, you basically have 2 action fighters, both coming off losses,,
i think this fight makes sense,,
If floyd had been put to sleep by canelo, he would have comeback vs pauli, or khan
oh wait he is fighting khan!!!!!!!!!!!
naah Im afraid he may not be able to handle that kind of ****, he'd probably retire and ruin his life.

Considering how critical you are of other fighters, Pac Man fans giving him a pass? | BoxingScene Community
