How Should Cotto Fight Canelo?

Should he box and move around the ring since Canelo cant cut the ring off like he fought Margarito. Pressure like he did against guys like Quintana and Rodriguez where he comes at you with foot and body movement giving faints or should he just box behind his jab in the center of the ring and look to counter what Canelo throws at him? he should fight ginger like his brother did, but dont tire out! i hope and pray cotto beats the freckles off this punk kid who aint sh it, fought nobodies and still got the may fight, only cause the money was great(for may)

He should take his time and let the fight come to him. No need to force anything. Both guys have terrible stamina and that's where his experience will come into play.

Canelo does have fast hands with good defense but slow feet. Haven't seen Canelo against a good body puncher so it would be interesting to see what happens whey they start exchanging body blows. I say he should fight Canelo like he fought Floyd. Canelo does have good boxing skills with slow legs

He's going to come in and swarm hoping that canelo's suspect stamina won't be up to it. Can't see it working though as it will play to canelo's advantages, he doesn't want to go hunting for his man. Thing is if Cotto took the margarito approach and tried to box from the outside I don't think he'd be able to win clearly enough to get the decision. I have Cotto as the underdog in this one.

I say he should use the Margarito 2011 strategy. Thing is, Canelo isn't gonna be coming straight at him and thus Cotto won't land as often, and we both know he pretty much needs to kill Canelo to even get a draw. Cotto needs to box, as much as Cotto really needed to go back to his roots in being the aggressor which really made him, this time he would need to box. Canelo's combination punching may be too much for Cotto who leaves himself open for uppercuts, if Cotto opts to stay in the pocket.
