You kidding me? When Edwin just went 12 with Ward? :lol1:
Like it is a huge mystery how a bigger man can last in the ring verse a smaller man. You guys that are so called fans of boxing need to open your eyes a little more. Of course when you have that P4P title next to your name you get "special criticism" for not knocking bums like E-rod out. The man just came off a 14 month lay-off and shoulder surgery seriously guys? I enjoy the entertainment value GGG brings to the ring, we all do, but let me know when GGG fights someone who actually has a chance to beat him. Not a god damn punchers chance and that's it. At least Ward is tested.
It almost sounds like GGG is saying he will sleep at home because it would be embarrassing if he fell asleep during Ward's fight if he was there .
That's how I read it too: GGG ****-talking and calling Ward a boring fighter.
At this point Ward won't ever become a PPV draw, there is a reason why some say he is sooo "accomplished" yet he is still fighting on BAD cards lol. Let's face it, the guy is boring and wins fights by hugging, holding and sucker punching.
In my honest opinion, he is not on top 10 P4P. I have zero respect for Ward, he is just average for real.
Gennady Golovkin invited by HBO for Ward-Rodriguez but GGG refused it saying:
Ward is a good guy but rather I will sleep at home.
well, Ward's fight was pretty boring, he has no power, lands a lot but his opponent was looking at him: that's all you got? lol
I don't think GGG is the least bit afraid to fight Ward and I think he would beat the much bigger Ward if they did fight. Ward does not need to go to 175 to prove he is an excellent fighter and GGG does not need to fight 168 pounders to prove he is an excellent fighter. Hagler and Monzon fought at 160 their entire careers and they get tons of respect.
people should be hyping up ward to fight kovalev and stevenson as much as they are trying to hype up GGG to fight ward. GGG is good for the sport, there's so many more interesting match-ups to be made with him before ward dominates him in a boring UD. Martinez, Murray, Barker, Sturm, Geale, Quillen, Chavez, Canelo, Pirog, etc...Ward is a fair amount bigger than GGG and about the same size as the light heavy's, he really boils down to Super Middle and used to fight at light heavy. I would want to see GGG fight a decent Super Middleweight first before even seriously entertaining the idea
I'm sure ggg was home sleep thinking about his dream fight rather than appearing here to set up a future fight with ward. What's sad is hbo said ok because they don't want ggg fighting ward anymore than ggg does.
So much dumb in this post^^^.
I have no problem with a fighter thinking "Hey I can't beat this guy so I won't even entertain a fight with him." I don't blame JMM saying it about Floyd.
GGG would've taken out Rodriquez last night in the first 6. Fact. GGG ain't calling out Ward yet cause he's still got unfinished business at 160 and if he ever wants to go to 154 it better b before he goes up to 168 otherwise he'll be doing himself some damage in the process.
Watch, within the next week, Golovkin will call out Ward and then we'll see what Ward has to say.
Cool I'll bet all my points against yours that he doesn't

You're upset because GGG doesn't want to spend time away from his family and fly across the world from Germany to see Ward fight a nobody who is obviously going to lose? :lol1:
I'd do the same, it's a waste of time and effort, when you fight 4x a year I think family > showing up to a boring fight.
