See these two C level fighters stay in front of Golovkin, tagging him and tagging him, exposing his lack of defense, lack of elusiveness, and then think Golovkin would destroy A level fighters like Martinez, Ward, Froch, Kessler? I don't get it.
I mean sure, yeah, "He stopped 'em doe". That's the least he could have done after absorbing 39% of Stevens power punches, and who knows how many of Ouma's straight lefts.
:lol1: yeah Maravilla been looking like bad money lately while Triple G been looking more and more like good money....but tbh I think Maravilla been fighting tougher opponents so I see the good point TS is making
I am one of those who strongly believes he would beat EVERY 160 pounder on the planet.....but I don't think he beats Froch...nah!!!.....Ward discourages and dismantle him imo....I would favor Kessler over him as well....but dudes like Abraham and Stieglitz get beat by the G monster imo
Not interested in Abraham, but I'd like to see Stieglitz v Golovkin, that would be a fun fight. I don't think Golovkin is moving up. Maybe he will to face Froch but I doubt it.
How can you watch your boy Sergia get beat by Margarito, go thru life and death with Kelly "Alcoholic" Pavlik and get knocked around like a ragdoll by a high weeded up version of Chave lol and still think GGG wouldn't absolutely destroy him? LOL, get real.

You can do this with any fighter take a bad night and then say 'how can you think he could beat so and so' I could take martinez v margarito or murray and say how can you think this guy could beat GGG? etc
Through this last year opponents have landed on average 11 punches per round on GGG ... NSB conclusion ... 'GGG got no defense' ... lol this place is laughable at times.
Plus who is saying he beats ward anyway? Like two immense nuthuggers or something? I give him a very good shot against all the other names you mentioned (and have him beating anyone at 160) but ward beats him imo.
Murray isn't with Eddie Hearn so you must be mistaken.

He says both Murray and Macklin had passed. He promotes neither guy but he's UK's #1 promoter and likely not talking out of his a$$. Macklin confirmed it himself.

Look at Stevens punch output. He was tagging due to the element of surprise more than anything. Remember the Clottey/Pacquiao fight? Same thing. Clottey was so inactive, that when he did throw a shot it would land.
Hopefully one of these top names will give him a shot.
Even the biggest supporters of Triple G should agree that Ward should be favored.
Now Froch is just a great fight. I think it's 50/50. But you can make a great case for Carl.
Now I think Golovkin beats everyone at 160. But we'll never know unless a name steps up. I wish Murray, Barker, Sturm and Martinez shared your skepticism Kev.
Yeah, big GGG fan , but it's rare to see anyone saying that he beats Ward at this point. GGG - Froch is the fight that seems likely to be the big test of where Golovkin's at. It seems apparent that GGG beats anyone at 160 (less a rejuvenated Sergio appears, and even then I think GGG breaks him down) but Froch is rightly considered the second best SMW in the world and the styles mesh beautifully - has all the ingredients for a great fight.
(FWIW Hearn's said the rumours are HBO are a little reluctant, and Sanchez has said Froch is one of the few guys he sees going 12 rounds with Golovkin - still I live in hope - one of the very best fights that could be made)
So wait you are comparing 97 punches through 8 rounds, 76 punches in 7 rounds to a 12 round fight where some one landed 113 punches on a fighter?
You DO realize that 97 in 7 and a half rounds is on pace to surpass 113 by a wide margin in a 12 round fight right?
I mean, you've got to be kidding me.
Never mind that Guerrero is a better than any one Golovkin has fought.
In the very least, make an effort. I'm not asking for small essays like I write. But make an effort, just a little bit of effort.
I ain't saying GGG beats everyone. Froch - GGG is a fight I really wanna see, but bringing up the punch stats ain't a good argument. GGG is sitting just behind FMJ as the most accurate puncher at the top level of the sport, has statistically the best jab in the business and also gets hit way less than average.
I can't understand how any boxing fan doesn't like watching his fights so I'm kinda assuming those arguing that he's no good or going to be 'exposed' - whatever - are simply annoyed with his fanbase for some reason best known to themselves.
Me - I just want to see GGG fighting the best opposition possible, win or lose, which means Murray / Geale, Maravilla when he's able then Froch (could be an epic fight) and should he win, Ward.
How can any boxing fan not like that story? Even if you just dislike Golovkin or his fans, doesn't that give you everything you want?

I thought Golovkin had an easy time with Steavens, stayed in control through the whole fight. Steavens was running scared, got confident then got stopped.
Hopefully one of these top names will give him a shot.

martinez doesn't want to fight him so why do you keep defending him? golovking scares him so bad that GG automatically wins any fantasy battle between these 2. the scared guy who refuses to fight knows he would lose so why don't you?
I had a dream last night that wrestlemania was on the tv but on the card they had ggg-serg and ggg was coming straight forward and getting tagged and beat up by serg,,
Is this a premonition of things to come????????
Always gets the KO against C fighters. Very impressive.
I saw earlier someone saying "Yeah Ouma tagged him a lot but Golovkin almost killed him!" Man, really? Golovkin almost killed a C fighter with 8losses? Get outta town?
-King I see you're posting but I am going to be honest and say glancing through your posts it just seems like you are slinging a bunch of insults at me and slurping Golovkin hard. Make a serious post and stop spamming or get ignored. You are way to carried away with your grading of fighters as A or B or C. That's just your grades and who put you in charge of what grade these fighters get? GGG has KOed a number of fighters ranked in the top 10 when he fought them. If they are ranked in the top 10 then they are not grade C fighters. What GGG has done has been impressive enough to keep your grade A fighters from signing to fight him.You may think GGG sucks but lots of us think he is one hell of a fighter and we will continue to think that as long as he keeps destroying everybody who dares to share a ring with him.
ok let me see if i understand this stupid ass thread....GG, an offensive fighter, gets hit on the face which = overrated, hypejob, bum? Amirite?
I had you on ignore for about a year for this reason and your post below this one. I thought you know what, let me get him off ignore maybe he is capable of having decent debates with.
Then you come up with this disappointing post once again, misinterpreting the thread and going along with your misinterpretation.
I don't know what to do with you trolls anymore. I give you chances and you continue with the same crap.
How in holy hell is Sergio Martinez even close to being an 'A' fighter. Is he still riding off KO'ing Paul Williams like 6 years ago? Jesus that guy is as overrated as it gets.

Is this a premonition of things to come????????No, because GGG would KO Martinez and Martinez will not fight him. It's just your dream and what you wish will happen but it won't ever happen in my opinion.

Too bad Kelly Pavlik retired. I'd have liked to see him and GGG go at it.
What's da matter? Upset that Floyd can't get KO's cos he can't punch?
I think it's more Floyds a proven great and beats top fighters in multiple divisions...while GG hasn't beat a top fighter in a single division. That's pretty much the end of this argument.
The fact that you considered Kessler and Froch A list fighters after their slug fest is laughable. Martinez is also falling apart. Ward would be a tough fight for him.
Look Froch is future HOF, he's a good fighter, but he has serious flaws defensively and he's much slower than Golovkin. Same thing with Kessler. I would rate those guys B-Level. Martinez looks like a B-C level fighter right now. Ward is A level.
Imo Ward is an A+ fighter, Froch is A. Both are on the majority of PFP lists.
It doesn't matter about Froch's supposed flaws when he wins, you can be the most flawed fighter in the sport in theory but if you constantly beat top opponents then you're up there regardless.
