Did anybody read this?!?

Freaking WBA, they said they wanted to stop the whole mess with 3 champs, but here they are upgrading Golovkin to the super champion!
Unless they consider the IBO a world title... dafuq? If true, why hasn't Khabib been upgraded to a super champ? Oops, too many super champs.
Screw the WBA
Well funnily enough, the WBA are vague on this point too. Read the rules, it's really a sham. I'll quote the exact wording for you (so you can have a good laugh):
http://wbanews.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/WBA_Rules_adopted_in_Panama_8-8-13.pdf Page 8: 2. 'Super Belts'
Yet, they clear their tracks later in their regulations by saying these things:
Pages 10/11: 18. 'Super Champion Status'
C.27 on that document is basically how they strip, vacate the titles, one of them being 'breaking the rules'. Basically, they can do whatever they want, and these rules are null and void given the President and the 'Committee' agree on it. It's a sham, but the WBC are worse.
Lmao. Nice find, I always thought it was 10 but they'd cut corners by including interim. WBA are the rock bottom
I think it's 10, not 5, but right otherwise

Similarly the Association will grant Super Belts to those champions that make 5 or 10 (if it was the case) successful defenses of his title. These Super Belts will be named after those champions that have been able to defend their title 5 or 10 times.

In exceptional circumstances, the Championships Committee and the President may designate a Champion (other than an Interim Champion) as a Super Champion. The President and Committee may establish criteria for a Super Championship.
If the Committee and President designate a Super Champion at the time the boxer is a World Champion, they may also suspend the provisions of Rule C.27 Pages 10/11: 18. 'Super Champion Status'

True, Canelo won it in an even worse fashion, but at least he defended it at 154, though mostly against welters and jwws
Mares' 122 title is also sketchy, won it at 120 vs #10 ranked 118er, made a single defense against another 118er who immediately went back down.
Mares's was. He's small as hell
Nobody recognizes the 154 title. Those who do are the same ones who recognize Canelo's title... SAME TITLE!

Well I'm a fan clearly, and I don't really recognize that 8th as legit. But then I don't think DLH's 6th is legit either.
Which 8th? the JWW title or the JMW title?

The IBO/Ring or the 154 belt?
IMO, in the end it doesn't matter because everyone recognizes him as an 8 division champ

Sergio was given some diamond title, whatever that is. Ring is totally tainted now, but not so much then. It used to track the lineage fairly well, and when not, they'd usually make the right call (no Erdei as Ring champ). In Hatton's case, no question. Not only that, but he'd just destroyed IBF champ Paulie

Was that before or after the Emeritus situation?
Anyway.... Hatton was at the time and Pac beat him. i get what he's saying though.... IBO and the Ring aren't really considered world titles.
Although beating somebody considered the lineal champ is better

Sure but there's a difference between interim belts and lineal. Everybody had Hatton as The Man at 140, no question, despite only holding an IBO belt. Remember Sergio was without an ABC belt for a long time, yet everyone treated him as The Champ.

I'm just saying...people are in love with multi weight and multi belt guys. That's why they're labeling Guerrero as a 6 time 4 weight champ

LOL. Exactly. I'd even go even further and say 95% of the people that buy the PPVs and go to the fights can't even name one sanctioning body.
Just throw three letters together and you'll bound to come up with one that exists somewhere.
Shoot not even. Stick the letter B inbetween 2 letters and you probably have an organization
Pacquiao's a really bad example to use, everybody knows he was good enough. He could probably go down to 140 right now and destroy all the title-holders or at very least beat one of them. When people talk about Pacquiao or Mayweather as a multi-weight world champ, it's legit, Guerrero's situation is a little (or a lot) different. It's tantamount to lies really.

Sneaky, although you could argue it's good promoting as 99% of people wouldn't bother to check.

90 percent of the people who buy the PPV don't care, they like the sound of it... then they'll use it in their stupid arguments.
We only have Pac to blame for this who sensationalized titles in different weight classes.
Dude hasn't even won a title at 140 yet. What... the IBO and Ring? Who cares?!?!
