The much-touted fight between Amir Khan and Floyd Mayweather is not a done deal, according to the American's advisor.
Reports coming out of the Khan camp in recent weeks suggest that the Englishman will take on the unbeaten welterweight in Las Vegas.
But speaking to ESPN.com's Dan Rafael, Mayweather's advisor, Leonard Ellerbe, says nothing has been signed yet.
"How many times have you heard rumours in this business about things being done and it's not even close to the case?" Ellerbe said. "It's the nature of the boxing business. I've heard Floyd is fighting Tim Bradley next. I heard a lot of things. We just sit back and laugh. It's hilarious.
"I don't know what we're doing next. Floyd Mayweather Jr is the topic of everyone's conversations. I've heard things from we're fighting Bernard Hopkins to Amir Khan. You hear a lot of things that people say and all you can do is sit back and laugh. But it's great to be in a position where everyone wants to fight the king. He represents the biggest payday for any fighter out there if their number gets called. I can't blame them for speculation or rumours.
"But we haven't had one conversation about any of that . Floyd is relaxing and enjoying the time off. He is enjoying time with his family and marveling at the record-breaking year he has had."
Mayweather is a frontrunner for fighter of the year honours, having defended his welterweight crown in May with a near-shutout of Robert Guerrero in the first fight of his mega deal with Showtime/CBS. In September, he returned to easily outpoint Canelo Alvarez in a light-middleweight unification fight that generated 2.2 million pay-per-view buys - second highest of all time - and set numerous other records, including the all-time pay-per-view revenue mark of $150m.
"Floyd is not even thinking about who he is fighting next," Ellerbe said. "He's relaxing. He has had a record-breaking year where he made a ****load of money and had two phenomenal performances.
"Everyone knows when it's time to go out and do something they know who it will come from. Floyd determines how, when, where and what he is doing. He is calling all the shots. So until you hear it from Floyd it is what it is - rumours. We're not even thinking about what's next. We ain't working on nothing."

you three scumbags are pathetic. you justfy the putrid manny/rios fight on the basis of "action" "excitement" or "manny got ko'd last fight" then whine when a floyd fan justifies the floyd/khan fight.
You can't have it both ways.
why do you even reply to those losers??they are open racist and trolls
I think if maidana kills broner in 1 or 2 rounds and looks spectacular then floyd would eye him, since he would come cheaper than a khan,,,
I also think the manny fight will happen sooner or later,, too much money there for it not to happen,,, but it will be like tyson-lennox,, huge fight but one guy totally shot,, if manny looks bad vs rios but still wins a decision, i can see arum cashing him out, and floyd looking to add manny to his resume,, I guarantee you that manny and floyd will get made by 2016,, just too much money for everyone involved,, and TR has squeezed about as much money possible from manny,, i could see this fight happening next year, and manny losing and then being cashed out vs lesser names like ruslan, tim etc
Will Manny v Floyd happen? Most definitely. Will it happen next? NO NO NO!
If it's not Khan or Garcia next I'd be surprised because Mayweather will look to get ridiculed like he did with Ortiz and Guerrero and I'm not sure how many under performing PPVs Showtime are willing to handle.
Maidana v Mayweather would be worse than those 2 fights.
Absolute trash if this fight happens. There is zero meaning to it. Even fights like the Ghost, and Ortiz meant more than this. Wont support it in anyway.
No he hasn't.
No he doesn't.
LMAO.
Pac's coming back from a brutal KO Loss, you useless Simpleton.
They're already starting to hype up this fight.
Can't wait till it's weeks away and Floyd fans will have you believing it's an A+ fight against top quality opposition.
I remember when Floyd's garbage fanbase were hyping up the Guerrero fight because he got past Berto :lol1:

who the hell else is Floyd gonna fight?
Khan's there and he has a following to help sell the fight
Floyd's not gonna fight any of the other guys at JMW
and Garcia is a snoozer if that fight ever happens
he's not lucrative like Khan is, so Floyd-Khan will happen
if Garcia doesn't lose in the interim, he'll likely get Floyd next

I`ve already said that i`m not interested in a Floyd/Khan fight. If he takes that fight imma be disappointed, but i`m not gonna knock him because he`s been fighting nothing but top quality opposition for eight years straight. And he`s always seek out top quality opposition to fight, while Pedquiao often ducked and dodged the most dangerous fighters like Zahir Raheem and Nate Campbell, but nobody said anything about it.To you people, its ok for Pedquiao to have a easy fight with Rios but its not ok for Floyd too take a easy fight.

I would dearly love to see Amir Khan put Punk Mayweather on his ass & out for the count.
If only to read the excuses the floydettes would come up with.
Floyd is ducking Timothy Bradley. No one wants to see him fight a past his prime, and shot Amir Khan.
man everyone know tim ducked khan, it aint exactly the best kept secret the kid admitted it on live radio.. if floyd is ducking anyone its much more likely to be amir khan - thats the guy who bradley, marquez, alexander ducked.. no one ever ducked bradley he's not seen as a serious threat.. with khan, if you cant tko him you will lose on points plain and simple, unless you taking PEDs and have a corrupt ref and judges to back you up like that b*tch ass ho Peterson did
I feel the same way about this fight as I did the Ghost fight; I didn't want it to happen but I would be lying if I said i wasn't going to support the fight I always support my favs in any arena from sports to music or politics.
This fight is growing on me actually. I am starting too like the idea of Floyd beating the snot out of A mere con.
It would be cruel but so suspenseful. Edge of your seat just waiting for Khan to get lit up and produce a full tap dancing routine.
I've been arguing against this ever since the thought of Mayweather-Khan started. Floyd isn't hurting Khan, let alone knocking him down, sure as hell not KO'ing him. I'll give him this, he may momentarily stun Khan, nothing that will put Khan in much danger.
People think Khan's chin is bad, but Floyd's power at 147 is about 4-5 notches above only Paulie Malignaggi. Which isn't saying much. If this farce of a fight happens, I hope people don't get surprised if the fight ends up with no KD's and no stuns and goes the distance.
I believe there has been no formal talks or contracts signed. That would be stupid when a better opponent can create themselves by the years end. Is Khan a possibility sure he is; is it a forgone conclusion he has the fight hell no.
You'll be another one lapping it up when it gets announced and your excuse will probably look like...
"Floyd deserve an easy fight"
"He a smart binnis man"
"nobody else is available"
"Khan a hungry lion"
:lol1:
