Vanes Martirosyan @VanesBoxing 23m
@loudibella I'm ready to fight ASAP again I can step in for Wille Nelson @trboxing
Vanes Martirosyan @VanesBoxing 19m
@loudibella @trboxing I'm Willing to step up and fight Matt on December 7th
When asked about his injured eye:
Vanes Martirosyan @VanesBoxing 17m
@KFZ001 @loudibella @trboxing Just a black eye it will go away in a week I'm in good shape no injuries ready to fight again.
Less than a month. Doubt it goes off, but would you guys be interested in seeing this
Lukas Konecny would be good, him and Macklin could meet in the middle and have a tear up.
Pretty straight forward slugger who is strong. He doesn't have one punch power either and if I was a promoter I would be worried about Macklin who has just suffered a pretty definitive knockout.
Good call :boxing:

Vanes is probably too difficult a guy to look good against on short notice and he just lost pretty wide against Andrade so unless Macklin can stop Vanes it is hard to really impress.
Still on short notice you can't be picky, so it would be more than acceptable in that regard
Running out of options short notice.

Truax said no
They don't like Vanes
They don't like Korobov on short notice

doubt it...Andrade is all wrong for him
I had Andrade 9-3 with a KD for Vanes... but if Vanes was throwing more, I probably would've given him more rounds
Send Vanes where he belongs, FNF.
No interest in seeing him on premium channels. He had his chance(s).
FNF? Hell no. They actually stepped their game up this year. Vanes would be a downgrade.

Wasn't he "taking it" to Andrade too? We saw what happened in the ring.
Now he doesn't care about his eye huh? Funny.

Hell no, Vanes is boring. Put Macklin in with a middleweight slugger and it will be a FOTY candidate. Vanes is a moron i remember an interview with him back in 2010 where he was calling out Sergio, Pwill and Mosley and was saying that everybody was ducking him etc.
Dude is boring and delusional so it was a pleasure to watch Andrade boxing the crap out of him
Vanes is in a pretty bad place right now. He's been unfortunate in having to face 3 awkward southpaws in all his HBO fights and hasn't look great in any of them. Has to jump on any opportunity he gets because it's doubtful he would get a call from HBO otherwise now.
But yeah, I'm picking Vanes if it happens.
He really has nothing... GBP has the monopoly there. 160 a little more lenient because nobody really has a hold on the division promotional wise
His only option for another title shot would be if Baysangurov beats Andrade and if Rabchenko beats Canelo for the vacant belt. Even then.... not sure he deserves a title shot, can definitely see him moving up
With his loss on Saturday, I don't even know what realistic credible options Vanes even has at 54.

Well Bob's running short at 154.... maybe a move up to 160 would be good for him... but then again i doubt he moves up so soon against a person like Macklin

True, Macklin is legit 160. Something tells me Vanes got a wake up call and he might actually come to fight if this happens

That and he'd be moving up in weight class
