I had heard last week from a Miami local boxing reported, that the fight was next for Garcia. Then I saw mike yesterday call Gamboa out and I also saw that Gamboa was in New York 2 weeks ago and probably met with hbo. I have kind of given up on Gamboa after his hiatus but this fight has always interested me but I wonder if there is a real possibility of happening
Mikey Garcia vs Yuriorkis Gamboa would be a PPV attraction and very interesting fight. I think Garcia has the reach advantage while Gamboa has the lightning speed advantage so no one can predict this fight. who knows?? :hitit:
Gamboa's lack of focus and inactivity are making picking him apart slowly. He is ultra-talented and also he can outbox Garcia with ease, but his uninterest in boxing is making him irrelevant.
I agree, If Boa shows up mentally prepared like he did when he fought 2 years ago he would school Mickey very badly. But right now Mickey is catching Boa at a bad time in his career where his priorities are not boxing.

I think Mickey stops him.. Gamboa definitely has declined and with his flashy style it's just a matter of time before a good boxer-puncher with pop catches him, in my opinion.
Hope this fight happens, preferably at 135.
Garcia vs Uchiyama would be the fight to make,, but it will never happen....
Garcia just fought so i doubt they know who we will fight next,,, and im pretty sure gamboa is on the bob arum $h!t-list, so he aint getting that fight,,,
Gamboa walk around weight has always been 140+ even when he was 126 he rehydrated over 10 pounds but has always made weight without any struggle, I think he only went up thinking he was chasing money (all the calling out Bradley and Broner and so forth) now how things stand today the money is back down pretty funny the sh*tty career Mismanagement if you ask me.
Yeah, I'm not sure Gamboa would have any trouble making 130. The problem isn't the weight as much as it is the ring rust. He'll always have the speed and power to continue testing Mikey's chin and mettle, but it'll be an uphill climb for Gamboa, especially if he takes the fight next.
Gamboa was ready years ago. But Mikey's team didn't let it happen.
If they fight now, it will be a question if Gamboa can win enough of the early rounds, and survive the later rounds to win a decision. Garcia is going to have to pressure Gamboa, test his chin and cardio, and try to win a decision or even a stoppage.
Mikey was a contender years ago, too green for Gamboa. But now, Mikey's a man.
Gamboa rehydrated 17lbs in his last fight @130, while Mikey rehydrated 12lbs last night. I think both guys would benefit from the fight being held @135, more-so Gamboa.

I thought it was nice of him to call Gamboa out since Gamboa cant get any fights worth a sh*t Mikey even said he would go up for him. Honestly Gamboa should go down to have a better chance or maybe they would both equally suck at 135 but to get the best version of this fight 126 or 130 Gamboa would be it. Question is if Gamboa derails this train as well think he gets sh*tted on like Rigo or HBO likes him enough to not crucify him?

I guess it would be 130 or 135. I dont think he ever ran from Mike, mike was the one that said he wasnt ready for him when there was a real possibility of happening

gamboa will beat the overated Mikey.
Care to wager on dat?? I find it monumentally hilarious that you would call Mikey overrated when Gamboa is the other half of this particular equation. If anyone is overrated between the 2 it sure is not Mikey.
