george carter jr out of galesburg illinios,, fighting out of the quad cities in iowa,,
We were on alot of the same cards as amateurs,,, Pretty good all around boxer,, always fell short at the national level in the amateurs, usually would be about the 5th or 6th guy in a tournament,,,,,
he is 10-0 right now but hasnt fought any good competition yet,, was suppose to fight antuwn echols earlier this year but it fell thru at the last second.....
Dude has a good all around game,, he can box, punch,, defense and ring generalship need some improvement,,
He has a horrible manager that was his amateur trainer, and the dude cant land him any fights,, lots of inactivity, and horrible opponents,, he needs to get him on some of the chicago cards
Felix Verdejo will be amongst the most talked about fighters in a few years
I can see a Verdejo - Lomachenko super fight in several years
We'll be adding Verdejo to the list of great PRs of history
Callum Smith?
I'll whack in John Ryder into the British. Lost a close fight to BJS and he's a little older but imo he looks more talented
Yeah, dunno what the hell I was thinking saying Stephen, must be going crazy lol :banghead:
Cheers!
Oscar Valdez looked a seriously polished pro on the undercard last night. He boxes in such a mature and composed way, which is always a great plus for a young prospect.
Lomachenko obviously....
I don't like to guess about ATG status but people I think will do well...
On a british side of things Anthony Joshua, Stephen Smith, Kal Yafai, Billy Joe Saunders
Does Thurman count??

Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr looked pretty solid the times I've seen him.. The opponents weren't impressive at all though.
11 wins (KO 11)..
with humble bloodline of boxing champs,
this guy is really promising..
I agree on Lomachenko, will be very surprised if he does not develop into a future superstar with such an outstanding start to his career.
Another really exciting prospect IMO is Zambian Cruiserweight Ilunga Makabu. He has the right mix of skill power and attitude that usually make great fighters.
out of the prospects I don't see any having a chance becoming an all time great. Out of all the young guys I guess I'd go with Vasyl Lomachenko since he has so much hype behind him. That may force him to have to fight big names early in his career. Rigondeaux has ATG skills but he's already 33 so it may be too late to make a big enough dent to be an ATG
yeah..
wish there were more boxers like sr leonard hearns hagler duran.
hope vasyl will get his title fight in his second bout, and hopefully win. to prove hes not just a hype (and i hope hes not a hype)
