gotta agree with russian, boxrec is notorious for listing rumors. not that thats the case here, but its happened many a time.

Nope. They listed Canelo-Williams, Mosley-Judah, Mayweather-Alexander(From the horses mouth himself Floyd Mayweather publicly said it will be Alexander). Those fights fell through for one reason or the other. It happens a lot in boxing. Fights appear to be on their way according to all sources, including the fighters themselves, then it falls through. Right now i'm, pretty sure Murray thinks his next opponent is Golovkin. Exactly, so you're proving my point, They list rumors.

They listed Guerrero Thurman recently, and left it up there even after Guerrero said he's not interested

But still...500k is a lot for Murray and Golovkin will be getting more. HBO might be putting money in... but I assumed they'd just be showing the replay later. If HBO picks it up they'll show it live then if they have a card later it'll be on replay they showed Froch/Kessler live not sure why not this Murray has the Martinez fight for a reference

I'm with you, however we've seen that GGG will do (near) purse parity with the challengers. Remember the no name LHW/SWW tournament had a 1m budget, so nobody is worried about losing a bit of money there.

That is the fight that should be next. Murray is a legit young MW with skills. It is impossible to look very good against him. He will give triple G a lot of problems IMO

Boxrec doesn't "jump the gun" they have highly liable sources. They had Mayweather vs Guerrero/Ortiz/Cotto up before it was announced on any notable boxing media sites, and even before Floyd mentioned it on Twitter. Notice from now on, that when Boxrec puts up a fight and the fight doesn't happen it was because the fight actually fell through, not because it was never going to happen. Actually Boxrec only goes by substantial evidence that the fight will happen. Lol what does that even mean, that BoxRec works according to destiny/faith?
