Martinez was all for a Cotto fight going straight out of his injury...now that Cotto might fight Canelo... might as well take a tune-up before Golovkin.
And unification go over mandos don't they?
Or will the WBC be allergic to unifying titles with the WBA again after Floyd?
When did you become the judge of credibility. Look at your post history, all you do is talk bad about Floyd, Canelo and any one in GBP.
My arguments are on the very first page and throughout until Canelo was brought up, which changed the subject(mission complete for you idiots). The very first quote to it is "You sound like Quillin". No argument, no refute, nothing.
It's not just me, everybody laughed at your Canelo/Rigo comparison. It brands you as a raging nuthugger.
Okay, this is interesting.
Give me your list of top 10 JMW's and include the wins that catapulted them to that spot.
I'll wait. I'll even help you out.
Champion: Carlos Molina
1. Ishe Smith
2. Willie Nelson
3. Cornelious Bundrage
4. Alfredo Angulo
Much better?
I gave you the champ and top 4, it should be easy to finish the rest.
It's not interesting because I'm questioning their rank, I'm looking passed what looks pretty on paper so that I can actually focus my sights on the actual achievement. Cotto was ranked so highly as a Jr. Middleweight because the division was poor.
Terrible comparison. Damn.
How can you quote that post clearly stating Cotto is pending as a win and bring up a guy who went 2-2.
Quote that post after Canelo-Cotto happens.
It is not a terrible comparison, you're giving Canelo credit for things he has not accomplished. Would you prefer it if I wrote
Spinks, Mayweather, Pacquiao (pending) > Kessler, Froch, Abraham?
Bottom line is Canelo has not fought Cotto, and when he fought Mayweather he didn't look as though he deserved to be in the same ring as him. Why you're giving Canelo credit for those things I do not know.
I don't even know what your argument about GGG is, it's lost in the sea of embarrassing nonsense you keep serving up. You know credibility is much harder to earn than to lose, and you just lost a lot effortlessly.

So let me see the subjects so far, to avoid talking about Golovkin:
1. Canelo is also a hype job.
2. Miguel Cotto is not top 3 at 154.
3. ??? Anymore non-Golovkin refutes?
Canelo is not a hypejob also ran, he's The Hypejob of the century so far. Who's even close?
Like I said before, I go by own opinion and don't care who had who on their P4P lists.
Donaire has 4 good wins in his entire career IMO and he wasn't no #5 P4P.
Regardless, you are now denying Cotto is top 3 at 154. And you are arguing about an opinionated list.
The reason I bring up Mayweather when I say who Canelo has fought is to show Canelo has 'fought' the better opposition as well as having the better win between him and Golovkin.
You cornballs can talk about Canelo all you want and remind me about Donaire's accomplishments all you want. But let's get one thing straight here, you all brought up Canelo because you had no argument for Golovkin. Keep proving my point. Keep bringing up different subjects other than a solid argument refuting my argument about Golovkin.
It seems that none of you are capable of doing so.
I don't even know what your argument about GGG is, it's lost in the sea of embarrassing nonsense you keep serving up. You know credibility is much harder to earn than to lose, and you just lost a lot effortlessly.
What you quoted did not change the nature of my post. What did Cotto accomplish to be so highly regarded at Jr. Middleweight? He beat Yuri Foreman, Mayorga and a shot to shit Margarito. What has Mayweather done at Jr. Middleweight? Beat Cotto who is not exactly a force to be reckoned with in the division, and beat De La Hoya; the victories are impressive in the context of a natural welterweight punching above his weight, but as far as defining him as a Jr. Middleweight fighter it does not go that far, it is also worth remembering that Floyd beat Canelo in a one sided manner, I don't understand why anyone would site it as a praise in his favour, it would be akin to adding a star on Clottey's resume for his one sided loss to Pacquiao.

Donaire was in EVERY p4p list, somewhere near #5. That's cause he dominated champs and top contenders in 4 wightclasses, with hardly a close fight in like 6 years. Trout was in ZERO p4p lists. That's cause he had a single top 10 win in a single division, against an undersized, past prime guy unproven at the weight.
Plus Rigo schooled Donaire bad, while the Trout fight was a tossup:

You're making a laughingstock of yourself.

Man STFU. Rigondeaux got one very good win and was on every one's top 10 P4P including mine. It all depends on how highly you think of Donaire and what you thought of Rigondeaux before the win. I give Rigondeaux the eye test. He's clearly great, and got a very good win in Donaire. Canelo is clearly a very good fighter fighter and got a very good win with Trout. I put Canelo in the lower part of the P4P and Rigondeaux in the mid part, which is perfectly fair. You really think I care about what any "boxing fan" thinks about my opinion on how to determine P4P lists, how to score fights, or whatever? I don't. I think both Rigondeaux and Canelo are two of the top 10 best fighters to watch in our sport right now. Canelo got beat by Mayweather, big whoop. Who wouldn't get beat by Floyd from 140-154?
Trout, Mayweather, Cotto(pending)> Molina, Smith, Bundrage.
It went completely over your head. The reason I mentioned those lower ranked JMW's like Nelson, Smith and Bundrage is because that is the opposition that Golovkin is fighting, the lower tier(Stevens)/non top 10 ranked(Rosado and Ishida) fighters.

How is Cotto top 3? His only top 10 win is against a 1 legged Foreman 3.5 years ago. Dude GTFO.
You keep counting floyd as a net positive. He got humiliated by a guy 15lbs smaller
Because of his name

A win over Trout, getting schooled by a Welterweight ( Mayweather), and calling out Cotto is enough to be considered top 10 pound for pound these days? His resume is nothing special, and I don't see it improving as he will reach a point where he can no longer drain down to 154lb.
Once he fights Cotto, he will have the top 3 guys at JMW in his resume, with possibly going 2-1 against them if he beats Cotto.

Smith, Bundrage > Josesito, Matt Hatton, Gomez etc. Who isn't calling out Floyd and Cotto? Jeeze. Both guys conveniently smaller, Cotto way past prime. The first 2 years of his "reign" were pathetic, especially since meanwhile he was getting called out by all the SWW contenders.
Anyway, after that Rigo stunt you really should retire from this thread. Or you think after that embarrassment it can only get better?

But how can you say Canelo is all hype when he fought and beat Austin Trout, has been calling out Mayweather since he was at 147, has been calling out Cotto for 1 and half years. Once he fights Cotto, he will have the top 3 guys at JMW in his resume, with possibly going 2-1 against them if he beats Cotto. Only guys left would be Lara, Molina and Angulo and then he can move up to 160.

What is the difference between people having Rigondeaux on their top 10 for one good win and me having Canelo in my top 10 for one good win?
Do you have a problem with Rigondeaux in people's top 10? And please, don't with that "Donaire is great", he is not great. Trout's win over Cotto was far better than anything Donaire did in his little 2012 FOTY resume.

I made a well thought out post with facts, you made this^ to refute it?
I guess you were right:
Why just that?
Because Rigondeaux schooled...SCHOOLED......Somebody who was a multi divisional champion, a proven champion and somebody many people considered in the top 10 P4P already.
Donaire is great as an excuse? Seriously?
Okay, nvm... Canelo is super great because of the JWW's and JMW's he beat. And because Texas said he schooled Trout, he schooled Trout.
You win, no point in arguing over this if this is how it'll go
Why cut and paste quotes?
yea yea, okay
Canelo = ATG
Donaire = Promotional hype job (oh irony)
Golvokin = crap hype job
Trout = 2nd greatest fighter in history
I made a well thought out post with facts, you made this^ to refute it?

You win

How is it hype, when you are fighting the best and staying competitive? It's not like he's fighting the Bundrages, Smith's, and Nelson's of the world. He's fighting the top 3 of his division. The backlash Canelo got for fighting Lopez and the love and support Golovkin got for fighting Ishida is disgusting.
"Oh he's just staying busy cause no one else wants to fight him."
Yeah, because Canelo was not turned down by Mayweather, Cotto, Williams(career ending injury), Kirkland, and the Ortiz fight fell through so he had no choice but to fight Lopez the guy who was coming off the best win from any one from 147-154.
See the support is there for Golovkin when he faces is non top 10 ranked fighters like Ishida and Rosado, but sh-t on the much younger Canelo when he is facing top 3 guys and tried to make fights with every one. Canelo-Williams was officially set, Canelo-Kirkland was signed one day,a nd Kirkland changed his mind the next day.
