The man still has a couple of years left in his prime to make the big bucks. His style of fighting is just what boxing needs right now and plenty of big money fights will open up despite losses. Just look at Cotto.
He's going to fight Mike Dallas and Ajejose Olusegun type of boxers in Argentina for the rest of his career. Danny Garcia got his numbers, and Matthyse is not getting younger anymore.

Setting his bait in the Twittersphere, “It’s such a shame that athiests will never know true love. #atheism,” he sits back, enjoys that beer, and watches as the infuriated godless bite.

Lucas was never gonna last anyway. Garcia got his number he might aswell retire or give the co.ck fighting public a match and face off against Prodvonikaov he aint good for much else
not surprised by the troll attempts but i'm just puzzled at the reason people do it, or more specifically why people get enjoyment from annoying others

(tl;dr, trolls usually do it due to being anti-social or feel beneath most members of society)
Dissociative Anonymity and Invisibility: You don’t know me, and you can’t see me.
Michael Brutsch, a computer programmer, cat-lover, and family man, turned himself into Violentacrez, the infamous Reddit smut-peddler who earned fandom through moderating controversial subreddits like “Jailbait.” The Internet allows one to reinvent him or herself behind an anonymous veil. The obvious irony is that Brutsch was outed by Gawker. A fool-proof system, it is not.
Asynchronicity: See you later.
Trolling comes from the fishing technique of setting one’s baited line in the water, dragging it behind the boat, and waiting for a bite. The activity is passive, allowing one to go about his or her business while waiting for results. The same principle plays out online. Brian Limond, a self-confessed troll and atheist prefers going after his own. His chum of choice – posing as a devout Christian. Setting his bait in the Twittersphere, “It’s such a shame that athiests will never know true love. #atheism,” he sits back, enjoys that beer, and watches as the infuriated godless bite.
Solipsistic Introjection: It’s all in my head.
Without the visual cues of face-to-face conversation, one is free to assign characteristics to those they encounter online. Discussing what he calls A-culture, Auerbach asserts that introverts who once found solace and community online felt threatened when Facebook took it away, turning safe anonymity into a competition for attention. Participants in A-culture see outsiders as a threat to their territory.
Dissociative Imagination: It’s just a game.
Violentacrez illustrates how one might dismiss trolling as “just a game.” Reddit assigns “karma points” to popular subreddits, motivating people to actively moderate provocative content. Justifying his anti-social persona in the name of the game, Violentacrez admitted creating racist and misogynistic subreddits in an attempt to accumulate “meaningless Internet points” – he was wildly successful.
Minimizing Authority: We’re all equals.
The Internet provides a unique opportunity for individuals to interact freely across the social strata. This is notably true in politics. Some political parties hire people to troll forums, spreading their rhetoric. Perhaps only online can a troll launch ad hominem attacks “directly” at the President, a privilege once reserved for pundits.
The online disinhibition effect illustrates that trolls are opportunistic, playing an online game rooted in their anonymity. Simple, really. Do note, however, that each factor relies on a common thread to make it viable – people willing to engage the troll. Trolling is not a game of solitaire. Unless we want to actively suppress freedom of speech, the only way to beat a troll is to not play the game.
dont worry guys Lucas will be back his probably in Argentina giving his nuts some rest after danny repeatedly hit him there like 20 times and its funny how fanny garcia fans are gettin so happy by this false information hahaha!!!

I love this stuff bro, keep em going
Backroom, politicking. Can't find a good fight?
Maybe, he feels like he'll never get that Danny rematch, and he has to start all over again as a contender.
Doesn't wanna be that guy that just puts on good shows, but won't be recognized as the best of the best.
Who knows.
or maybe he thinks he is not good enough to be the best it is possible
Their isn't a form of scum worse than Matthysse haters. A man that fights regardless of his eye hanging out. A man who doesn't throw nut slaps when the other fighters offense is coming on. A true man not a "technical fighter from Phili".
You're bitter as sh*t. Nobody hates Lucas. People hate his psycho fanboys like you.
Matthysse is just starting to earn decent money. Very unusual for any guy to walk away at that stage of his career. I think he could do with changing up his training camp though. As sweet as his life in Argentina sounds, working with a North American trainer who could bring something new to his offence would be a good idea.
Matthysse was one of the most overrated boxers in history. He lost every time he fought somebody decent.
cOMPLETE BULL****! He only lost once and that was Garcia, other than that he was robbed. Most people dont know **** about boxing! Matthysse is a verry good, verry strong fighter but Garcia was just better. I hate it when good fighters like Matthysse are not respected anymore when they lose a fight!
They have a huge fan base but after they lose, most of the fans are gone and the fighter was always **** to begin with! Its verry sad!

Awesome!! You are the REAL Nostradamus indeed!!!
Who cares if be retires, its nkt like he's a ppv draw anyway. Plus like other so called beast in the ring he got schooled by another guy that does what the name of the sport is and that's boxing......
:buttkick:
and Matthysse was boxing well until his eye injury.
