IMO Broner got whupped by Malignaggi, got away with a gift decision, now he's fighting Maidana.
Garcia landed a lucky punch on Khan, ran from the rematch and instead fought Judah, after that he fought a Judah leftover (Matthysse) going even lower down the totem pole.
Judah and Malignaggi.... well they're fighting each other!
So why are all these boxers fighting Khan leftovers? The damage was already done by Khan, those boxers might never be the same again so what's the point? Khan stopped Judah and Paulie, and he floored Maidana in the first round, then battered him for the rest of the fight.
this leftover crap is stupid as hell
in loaded divisions, guys are all gonna fight each other
they're supposed to fight each other to clear a path to dominance
Khan never damaged anybody anyway, he has no "leftovers"
Judah and Paulie are underneath guys, they take whatever's given
Broner is new to WW and hasn't hit JWW just yet
as the JWW champ, Garcia is the guy everybody wants
Khan is done being the shot caller in his weight range
back when he was with roach and ariza, he had an iron chin, the perfect gameplan suited to his gifts(ambush style) he had alot of early knockouts/knockdowns and did alot of damage early back then, now with hunter and the loss of ariza he has a glass chin, and fights at a pace that will keep his opponents around longer than they should be, inflicting much less damage
I agree, Khan was better with Roach in his corner, with Hunter he seems to be thinking far too much, concentrating on trying to use a method of defense that does not suit his style. With Roach he has one of the best offensive raids in boxing and although his chin wasn't iron, he could take a damn good shot.
Maybe the chin we saw against Diaz had more to do with weight and improper preparation than anything else but we will just have to wait and see with Khan's full welterweight debut.
You call them leftovers to start arguments away the point of the thread your selling. In reality these are not leftovers but Viable options both in Contention and Dollar signs. They are now as they were with Khan.
If Khan was smart he would've kept going to the body. Maidana was lucky that Khan isn't smart.
Actually Khan did go the body several times again, your memory of the fight is tainted, watch it again.
Sometimes I feel Khan was smart and lucky to hit Maidana with that body shot in the first round. If it wasn't for that knocking out Maidanas wind sales I think Maidana would've took Khan out that night .. Oh well sht happens.

So Khan was lucky to hit Maidana with a legitimate body punch? I thought i'd heard it all until now :lol1:
If Mayweather didn't school Canelo like a child for 12 rounds then Canelo would have kicked his arse. :dunce:
Why is Khan Briedis Prescotts leftovers ?
and Garica's too?!?!?!?! Sounds like Khan is a doggy bag after Thanksgiving!
I think Ortiz and Khan should fight eachother...they can call it, the battle of the leftovers!!!!

You dont know sh.. about boxing. Khan has a glass jaw. Why would Garcia fight khan again. It will be the same for khan, maybe worse. You must be from the u.k. because we all know khans chin is suspect.
these 'left overs' sayings are getting old. basically if your not undefeated you are someone's left overs, correct? stupid. Also, Garcia didn't land a lucky punch, Khan was starting to get hit with a lot of big shots and was bound to get hit with a big one that was going to put him on his ass. even Max called it.
This raises a very good point:
Khan did exceptionally well at light-welter before the Garcia KO loss. He beat Judah and Maidana and Paulie who are all relevant today, that is the sign of a good fighter. Khan, for all the hate he seems to receive from fans is just that, a good fighter, maybe even very good. He has beaten champions, past and present. I actually think Khan could get back into boxing fans good books if he was to fight Broner and possibly Alexander and EARN a shot at Mayweather. Both those fights are very winnable for the Bolton Whirlwind.

Khan vs Maidana was a great fight, Khan won because of the point deduction and the KD, maidana won 5 or 6 rounds and battered Khan in the 10th. Both have each others respect but Khan has gone downhill since, especially his punch resistance which wasn't great to begin with. maidana isn't a Khan leftover like Judah and Paulie are. (he dominated those 2, while after the Maidana fight, he went to hospital)
Maidana more than likely would KO Khan at 147.
That was a great fight, Maidana had some spells of success but Khan was by far the better fighter on the night. I can't see Maidana giving Khan any trouble at 147, i suspect Khan's punch resistance will improve when he moves up again, he's weight-drained now at 140, natural growth over the past 4 years have ensured that.

Got whooped by Malignaggi??? U call that a whooping bro??? Smh Danny shoulda been arrested for attempted murder then for what he did to Khan.
I think the fighters that you mentioned are the biggest names in that division at the moment, so who else are they going to fight but each other?
In regards to Garcia vs. Khan, that was no lucky punch. Most that pay attention to Danny Garcia can see that the left hook is a punch that he throws very well and he was trying to use it to counter Khan from round 1. It is the fault of Khan and his corner for not seeing it or not watching enough footage to be respectful of it.
And I do have to agree with one of the previous posters in their statement that since that fight, Danny has fought the man believed to be the most dangerous puncher and defeated him, again utilizing his counter left hook to pretty good effect.
I like Khan, but the loss to Prescott is his own fault as is any fighter who supposedly comes into a fight weight drained, whether it be Khan, Dawson, or De la Hoya. The fight starts when you sign that contract and if you are not prepared when the bell ring you've no one to blame but yourself. Also, Prescott gave Khan a lot of opportunity to avenge that loss, but Amir never accepted (I would have enjoyed seeing a rematch).
I was joking, but its not entirely false... All the names at 140 moved up, so there's no one left but people Khan fought and beat (except Garcia and Matthysse)
