His father is a Russian miner and his mother is a Korean lab assistant
2 of his brothers got killed in the army
His third brother was also a boxer (same weight-class), but never fought GGG. When they had to face one another one of them always quit.
Golovkin won 345 amateur fights and lost 5.
He was never knocked down
USA Today called GGG the most talked-about import from Kazakhstan since Borat
that's all I know about him so far lol
I assumed he was asian, did not know he was part Korean, but GGG does not look Russian to me. I always think of someone like Kovalev or Povetkin. Sort of like Provodnikov, who would think his pop was a Russian. Just a huge country and mix up of people when it was the USSR, pretty cool.
Yes he can be half Korean. One of my drinking buddies is a white guy, blond with blue eyes and once I came to his house and there was an older Asian woman cooking in his kitchen. I asked him: when did you hire a maid? the guy flips out and says: wtf thats my mom, motherfVcker!
lol
:lol1: ...................
He def can't be half Korean. I can accept 1/4 Korean. I could be wrong though but most if not all half Asians I've ever seen usually more more like their Asian side then anything else. But there are a few exceptions but w/e. Its really hard to tell though because GGG doesn't really look half Korean at all.
I know a half Mexican half Japanese guy...looks 100% Latino

I've known he was asian before I knew the actual facts, he definitely looks Korean to me. I was once watching a N Korea documentary in which they were smuggling them out of the country, there was a female that could've passed for Golovkin's twin sister.
Many eastern euros are asian, take Provodkinov for example. Even a guy like Valuev is asian, you can tell one of his ancestors was. I'm 1/4th German and people are shocked when I tell them because I look nothing like it, I don't look half as close as GGG.
I think their asian facial structure definitely helps them take punches, those big wide cheekbones and box heads.

Nah, you can't just do an eye test on stuff like that, basic biology, traits such as appearance are a fairly random mix of the grandparents genes - some people gonna look more like their mother, some more like their father.

his mothers first name and patronymic are both russian names so she might only be half korean.
why would golovkin want to enter the ring with a british jew that insulted his entire nation.
All Korean people who live in former Soviet countries have Russian names.
His country is locate between Tajikstan, Kyrgyzstan and a$$h0les Uzbekistan.Wtf are you talking about? It's located to the north of Tajikstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Besides, Kazakhstan' territory is twice as big as all those countries combined.
Wrong stats. He beat Despaigne in Olympics semifinals. Can't you read? He didn't fought Despaigne at the Olympics at all, that was Test Event. GGG beat Yordanis at World Cup in Moscow. Good fight, actually.
Golovkin has at least 8 amateur losses, most notable of them were to Eduard Gutknecht, Yordanis Despaigne and Andre Dirrell.
He lost to Direll in 2003 (14-15), then he won him in olympics in 2004.
He didn't lose to Despaigne. That's wrong stats. He won 29-26.
But then lose to Gaydarbekov in final.

He beat Yordanis multiple times. Didn't know he loss to him. Pretty sure he fought Andre only once and beat him.
Golovkin is the most accurate puncher among active fighters with an average connect ratio of 43%.
It's also notable that he punches with high volume and power, a traight that usually corresponds to lower connect ratios.
