I've not, nor do I ever plan to.
I'm a big Bourdain fan, but I imagine he glossed over it like a cunt, right?
"Eh...it's the culture to mistreat animals for human entertainment so I guess it's cool..."
That sort of thing?
He glorified it and was hanging off the guys nuts (they had dinner with the bullfighter).
I'm a fan of his too. I can't remember what the old series was called, but it was miles better than Parts Unknown. The Libya and Congo episodes almost felt like propaganda.
Thread went off topic haha.
Then be a man, make a lounge thread, and have that debate.
Unless you don't have the stones for it.
If you're (not you, I realize) arguing that it's morally alright to make animals fight and kill each other for human entertainment, you're fighting a losing battle. It's no better than cóckfighting, which I thought everyone agreed was trash.
bullfighting is art. deal with it.

Unless you don't have the stones for it or are afraid of being bodied by multiple loungers.
Did you see the bullfight episode of Parts Unknown Bring?.

I would say yes the guy brings the heat for real in all his fights. He's one of those fighters that brings a lot of excitement in the ring. Which is winning by KO.
first of all let me start by saying that i've been eyeing your posts and i really like what i'm seeing. keep on posting. i appreciate it.
with the good boy i find that you've just got to put on your fanboy cap for the evening and enjoy the ride.
as you've alluded to, stevens certainly isn't even that live of a dog. he's going to have to come forward against gennady golovkin. he's all wrong for even lasting the distance.
i'm just going to enjoy watching a guy whose fighting style takes no prisoners, and is a breath of fresh air. we won't ahve to suffer through anybody feinting and posing with his opponent without doing anything behind it. golovkin is going to be the f#ck out of stevens clinically, and it should be fun to watch. he doesn't just go in there winging, as i'm sure you're aware. he's got a fine tuned offense and brutal punching power.
ain't you never been to a bullfight? they die magnificently.
What I've liked a lot about GGG is that for the most part he's a highly, highly regular and patient fighter. He doesn't seem very susceptible to being drawn into a war on emotions or anything like that. He fights each guy - no matter their level - with all of his skill and know-how. That's why, despite having big KO power, I give Stevens even less of the usual "puncher's chance".
Look at the Ishida fight. Nobody gave Ishida any real chance, but GGG didn't rush in there throwing bombs at his chin from round 1. He got him outta there, but until he did it was really an impressive display of all-around ring savvy as well as power.
goodboy has me shook. you too. don't lie. he'd chop that beanstock in half with bolos.
With ease.
But mostly because I'd stand there pondering his girth.
I can't wait to see another fighter good boy'd and the NSB backlash because of it.
Golovkin has fanboys shook.

I'm not anticipating much. I don't expect Golovkin to rush him and try and take him out early in spectacular fashion. He'll pick and poke at him, break him down and then stop him - most likely in the fourth or fifth round.
Stevens is out of his depth here.
