Some american fighters struggle to pull a crowd despite being top fighters e.g ward/bradley/mayweather these are top american fighters that either dont have pulling power or dont have the fans behind them.
Fighters from puerto rico, mexico, uk have massive fan bases because we get behind our guys. They dont even have to be anything special and we'd still support them.
So do you american fans support your fighters or do you support boxing in general and couldn't careless where the fighters were from?
Who was the last fighter americans would get behind and would support through thick and thin?

Floyd would rather be adored. or else he wouldn't complain about it.

If Wilder ends up winning a title it might get the casuals attention.
I'll buy that^^^^^Americans LOVE the HEAVYWEIGHTS, Good American HW's that is!
so what does that have to do with his fights with Cotto and Mosley?
answer is below-
Both of those fights were on cinco de mayo weekend. They thre Canelo on both of those cards along with many other mexican and mexican american fights. The point is the majority of the people ordering his ppvs are hispanic
EXACTLY!!!!!!

How many Hispanics ordered JMM's last ppv?
When it comes to boxing Americans are not nationalistic fanboys like other nationalities
I admire that
They show love anyone willing to put on a good show

As long as Basket Ball, Football and Base Ball are free to watch on basic cable. Where if You like boxing you have to pay to watch boxing on Showtime and HBO. Which will cost you some cash it's no surprise that it's not the leading sport in America. I think a lot of us do back up are American fighters in a America I know I do.
Only when the fighter is fighting in his hometown. Boxing is just not a main stream sport in America. You have to be specific with the venue where a certain fighter is fighting. You can't just assume a fighter from Chicago will be a draw in New York just because he's American. It's not like in the UK where a fighter from Manchester will get massive support in London.
But there are exceptions when it comes to hometown fighters. If you're a black fighter from Los Angeles and you are scheduled to fight a Mexican fighter at Staples Center or. Home Depot Center, it's gonna be like you're the one on foreign soil since the crowd is predominantly Mexican. See Margarito-Mosley. Mosley was the hometown boy yet it was generous to say he had 20 supporters in the building...
mayweather makes 30+ mil a fight. that moneys coming from somewhere & its not coming from india or australia or brazil for examples. so id say yes
ward is just so dam boring in every way
bradley is just so dam powerless
gotta take risks in their & gotta have power to be star caliber. americans want blood & gore & guts. if not, we'll watch the olympics
No, there's a reason why Mayweather fights on Cinco de Mayo and Mexican independence day instead of 4th of July weekend.
so what does that have to do with his fights with Cotto and Mosley?
So wo was the last fighter the american public last followed?
Floyd Mayweather jr..before that it was Oscar, before that it was Tyson..if we are just talking Americans

did you just say Floyd struggles to draw???really?
