Boxing used to be referred to as a gentleman's sport, perhaps best exemplified by Floyd Patterson. Who's the biggest gentleman of boxing today?
My 5 favorites in the poll.
i alwasyg et a kick out of ruslan post fight.
it sounds like he's yelling and pissed, but then the translator comes on and it's like "i want to thank freddie roach and my mom for helping me. my little Filipino coach, too."
:lol1::lol1: ....... true!

The guy who walked off pouting after he got beat by Mayweather....Miguel Cotto is actually on the list? Please...
Atleast he always admits his defeats to every one of his opponents. I remember when Tony beat him the first time before Cotto walked out, he congratulated Marg and acknowledged his L. It wasn't until wayyyyyyyyy after the Mosley fiasco that he complained(around rematch time) and rightly so. Any other man wouldve got on Tonys case straight after being exposed.
I don't know Kesslers' personality very well, so I won't comment on him.
Wlad is very nice, but he can be sarcastic at times. Not a bad thing though.
Martinez a very nice guy as well.
I'd have to vote for Manny. He is always nice and comes with a smile on his face every time. He's also very good about losing, even when he gets robbed. You have to give him credit. Its not easy being a perfect gentleman for anybody.
Kessler is a very good guy. Friendly and humble.
This man.

He hasn't proven himself yet. Lets see how he is after ten years in this sport.

Most people believe Pacquiao is the biggest gent from that list. I feel it has to do with his super stardom mostly. He does seem like a genuinely good guy, though. And actually one who doesn't even want to see his opponent hurt.
Pacman is a gentleman in the ring, unlike Wladimir who fights dirty but is a gentleman outside the ring.
Pac will never fight another guy dirty, he has to be the cleanest fighter when it comes to boxing in the ring. Watch the Agapito Sanchez fights and the Barrera fights, Pac was getting hit dirty and head butted by Barrera but refused to retaliate back with dirty punches.
Also I think when he knocked out David Diaz and Ricky Hatton he wanted to go over there and help them up, I remember he was pulling one of them up by the gloves after knocking them out and the ring doctor pushed Manny away.
Its was David Diaz that Pac tried to help up after knocking him out, and another one of Pacs kindness is when he took his feet off the gas during the Margarito fight. I think he even looked at the Ref a couple of times if he was gonna stop the fight. But Kessler gets my vote by a slight edge.
From that list? Pacquiao and Kessler, I'll give the edge to Kessler because Manny said Marquez caught him with a lucky shot. I think he truly believes it, but saying it is disrespectful.
