When Sir Joe schooled Bucktooth Bernard Hopkins I was ecstatic. I was erect with happiness. Literally.
What is the most joy a boxing victory has caused for you?
When Floyd beat Hatton for sure. I bet my all my points, my sig, my avy, my usertitle my account password. Basically everything was on the line along with the fantastic buildup. Most gratifying win ever.
can't believe I forgot tarver knocking out roy jones.that was a great moment seeing RJJ on his back. after the ruiz fight I was hoping jones would get ****y & fight a bigger HW & get crushed but instead it was tarver at 175. the beginning of the RJJ sideshow. still to this day I think norm stone & john ruiz had a good point when they said jay nady didn't allow ruiz to fight his fight. everyone wanted that belt off Ruiz's waist. the cards were stacked against him. he wasn't allowed to punch & grab which totally nullified his fight plan... ruiz needed luis pabon as the ref & it may have been hard for roy to keep ruiz off him...wonder how wlad\povetkin would have been if nady was the ref...
can't believe I forgot tarver knocking out roy jones... I never liked either but RJJ had it coming after all his showboating & unsportsmanlike conduct in his fights. after the ruiz fight I wanted roy to get his a*s kicked so badly. that was the only fight I ever cheered for ruiz in. still to this day I think norm stone & john ruiz had a good point when they said jay nady didn't allow ruiz to fight his fight. everyone wanted that belt off Ruiz's waist. the cards were stacked against him. he wasn't allowed to punch & grab which totally nullified his fight plan... ruiz needed luis pabon as the ref & it may have been hard for roy to keep ruiz off him...wonder how wlad\povetkin would have been if nady was the ref...

Joe CLEARLY won that fight.

When Ali finally managed to stop Foreman in the 8th, it was my happiest sporting moment ever. I remember, in the pre-fight build up, everyone on TV was saying that Foreman would not only beat Ali but he would end him. I went into that fight wondering if Ali would leave on his feet...or alive. What Ali did that night ranks up there as the biggest moment in our sports history.
Not only did he regain the heavyweight championship of the world but he did so against the division's most feared fighter, a man who had made yoyos out of Frazier and Norton, 2 men who had hurt Ali more than any other.
In more recent times, when Ricky Hatton out hustled and out muscled the great Kostya Tzyu, it was satisfying on so many levels. I count Ricky as a close personal friend and had known him since his younger days. For him to do that, on home soil with a rowdy crowd and against a great champion, it was terrific. I think both Tzyu and Hatton were the last 2 great light-welterweight champions. The passing of the torch was complete.
Lloyd 'who the hell is he' Honeyghan taking Curry apart piece-by-piece for all the welterweight belts. Huge, huge upset despite the Ragamuffin being undefeated and really got me into boxing as a kid.
Calzaghe's masterclass against Lacey...one of the most lopsided unification fights of recent years. Did not lake Lacey's attitude one little bit before the fight but ended up admiring his cojones for going the distance.
Froch v Taylor had me punching the air and spilling beer all over the shop. Thought Carl had made a major mistake and was going home beltless and well-schooled by Jermain. But Froch's never-say-die spirit was epic.
I wouldn't say the happiest but the most shocked, and when I had the biggest adrenaline rush was 12th round of Chavez Martinez. I really don't like Chavez but I was hoping for him to pull out the win after taking an entire 11 rounds of ass whipping.
After the big punch landed the rest of the round went so slowly it felt like time stopped.
I still watch that round on the DVR from time to time.
Floyd Ko'ing Hatton my blood was boiling when the Brits booed the national anthem.
How the **** is that Hatton's fault? I swear to ****ing God some of you people are so God Damn stupid.
No offense.
I don't understand why Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 is ranked very high here ! may be they are patriotic Mexicans only !
I didn't watch that fight live, and afterwards I watched it for only 1 time replayed !
it was irrelevant fight for me , and it proved nothing ! I didn't felt any excited or amazed with the fight outcome, I was indifferent !
the case was shut after the 3rd fight when Pacquiao won his 2nd consecutive close fight ! I still think it was stupid from Pacquiao to have 4th fight , and I think the same for any 5th, 6th, ... 99th fight they are going to have !
If they have 100 fights, it will be 52-48 for Pacquiao, with some KDs or KOs here and there, their fights are close and there is nothing new
De la Hoya beating Vargas.
Erik Morales upsetting Pac.
Erik Morales leaving it all in the ring against Maidana.
Sergio Martinez KOing Paul Williams.
Paul Malignaggi beating Juan Diaz the first time (before the scorecards were read..)
Froch beating Taylor was pretty ****in' sweet.
Every time Zab Judah loses.
