Bradley can go up, by establishing himself at welterweight. Floyd will be gone soon, maybe Bradley can be the one to establish himself as the best afterwards.
Bradley doesn't have enough of a legacy to where he can retire and be satisfied with it, I don't think.
The point of boxing is make money. TB is just starting to really do that. This is silly.
Dwyer is now a member of these forums as of recently so hopefully he will chime in here too
He shouldn't waste his time, these forums are a cesspool of trolls. People who will argue with you just to get you angry. They don't even believe the **** they're saying, they're just trying to piss people off because they're ****ed in the head and they enjoy it.
Dwyer's a classy dude, he gets enough hate from his youtube keyboard warriors. I respect the dudes opinion on the sport, he's a classy guy and shouldn't waste his time posting on here.
I'm sure he's too busy anyways, he IS part of Andre Ward's legal team after all, and probably other important athletes as well
What legacy? He's 30 years old and has never been the man to beat in a weight class. He still needs to put in like 3-4 more years of work to be considered a HOF'er. His fights with Pacquiao and Marquez showed he's good enough to fight close fights with ATG's, but can he really beat them?
he's IMO (and a lot of others) the P4P #3 fighter in the world, and could be argued #2 due to Ward's inactivity.
"30 years old" "never been the man to beat in a weight class" are contrived talking points that aren't important if you're RATING him against his peers.
Bradley will retire a HOF, I have no doubt about that, and I'm sure most agree with me. His resume is strong.
Exactly, anyone who claims Roy ruined his legacy, I automatically write off. I stopped counting Roy fights as additions or subtractions to his legacy after Calzaghe. But I did enjoy him beating Lacy lol, that dude was awful.
You can't really do that though, i.e. pick arbitrary points from which to judge a fighter's record. People try to do it with Tyson too, it doesn't really wash. I don't know if you listened to the video but Dwyer explains it well.

Has he posted yet?
But there is something to be said for how you win those fights....Bradley's victories that matter could all be defeats just as easily because we know judges suck. If Glen Johnson had got a few more he deserved, and Bradley a few less we might be discussing the road warrior!
Pac should've won. Prov was close either way you can't scream robbery. Marquez was clear victory. I agree they're close, though 2 of the three imo were the right call.
Dwyer is really talking about head to head the best of the era, as opposed to depth of resume.
I.e. Mayweather is considered greater than Marquez because he beat him. Bradley's claim as best being the wins over Marquez and Pacquiao.
E.g. Froch could beat every SMW and LHW out there, but he'll always be considered inferior to Ward because he lost to him (and Kessler who lost to Ward).

Dwyer, himself, should have retired from youtube some time ago. He's talked nothing but nonsense for a while now.
Then has the balls to try and charge money to view some of those videos.
Lately....the patina on his dome has lost a bit of luster:grumpy: I love his commentary but sometimes he has veered into the territory of "ridiculous."

Well said....bradley has a bunch of judge's victories, he is yet to beat a great fighter convincingly. Remember when Taylor beat Hopkins? Nobody really thinks he beat Hopkins. Bradley has done nothing to show he beat anyone. I feel for the guy....Frankly? I don't agree with Dwyer but I anticipate that any day now if he continues fighting he will get exposed.
A rematch with Pac? he would get starched....again.:Flush:
What the hell is Dwyer talking about? Bradley's just now making good money. He's young and he's not taking a beating. What's Tim gonna do if he retires now? Write children's books?
This is something stupid, the guy is just getting there why quit now? You go into prizefighting your primary goal is to get the top $$$$ as much as you can legacy will come after. There are so many in bradleys level he can fight he should take all opportunities, rematch pacquiao, provo fights will surely give him top ppv $$$. Strike while the iron is hot!
RJJ actually won some fights. Bradley unarguably lost one, and arguably won 2 in his last 3 fights.
I think Bradley needs to actually win a few fights before calling it a day. Against Floyd for starters.
Are you kidding me?
He can cross his fingers Rios KO's Pac so he doesn't have to fight Pac again, and can just outbox Rios with ease... Rematch Provo... Maybe fight Alvarado just becuz
Then his contract with Top Rank will end, and he can fight Broner, Guerrero, Rios, etc from Golden Boy...
Stay away from Floyd and Pac, and we have ourselves the front runner for next p4p #1 fighter
Why would he retire now? He's like 30
Dwyer's a dumbass

While true, also his resume removing marquez still has a ton more depth...and he's accomplished more. Not everyone who lost to someone is considered better. At the moment Pac is still greater than Bradley and Marquez. Granted Pac beat marquez a few times. Bradley has no stand out skills that make him mentioned as the best of the era...so he needs resume depth to back it up.
I'm not knocking Bradleys resume...it's good...but it's not on par with Pac or Mayweather. If he wants to be considered one of the best he has to either out work them resume wise or at the very least keep winning long after they're gone. Neither can be done retiring.
Sure he "can" lose to anyone on any given night, but who would be favored to beat him at the moment? Pac in a rematch....Mayweather...Otherwise just keep on training like a beast and winning matches will get him his respect.
I check out a lot of guys videos. Dwyer included. I also listen to a lot of podcasts when I have the chance. Reason being, I bet on a lot of fights. Nearly every weekend. And I like getting different opinions. Plenty of times people have caught something that I might have missed.
To ask for money to view a youtube video is stupid, and egotistical. More times than not, I know what Dwyer is betting, before Dwyer knows what Dwyer is betting. Lately, to say that the guy is predictable would be an understatement. And I can't stand listening to 15 minutes of craziness to get to the 5 minutes I actually want to hear (I think it was the Fonfara/Campillo video where he talked about SRL, and Hagler or something like that, lol. Just made no sense). Usually just skip to the end.
I feel you there :lol1: :lol1:
And? Marquez win over Pacquiao is better than any win of Mayweather's win, but why is Mayweather's resume considered greater than Marquez's? Because Mayweather's resume has more depth. Marquez is actually a good example to use because the biggest slight against his resume is a lack of depth, which is the boat Bradley falls into right now.
At the moment he has a good resume, but collecting wins against other top fighters, even if they're beneath Marquez and Pacquiao, can push it into the great territory.

Yeah that had me disgusted. While he'll sometimes make ridiculous statements, I tend to never skip his videos because he actually breaks down styles. Really liked his Broner-Maidana breakdown, pretty much coincided with how I see it going as well.
One of my favorite boxing heads on Youtube is Beeb, he doesn't upload much though. He's on ThaBoxingVoice though.
