If you didn't watch it, it's a must watch.
I'm no tough guy, but man, this brought me to tears multiple times. I miss these guys in the ring.
I rarely post nowadays but I just felt compelled to post this.
It's on HBO GO now.
RIP Champ!
Watching it right now, fuckin terrific!!
Edit: This is the first time I've ever seen Gatti's body, very sad.
Can't wait to see the next Legendary Night.
Boxing is a versatile sport. They werent technicians in the traditional sense such as Mayweather or Andre Ward, but they were technicians in the art of war and attrition. Ive seen Mayweather fights, Andre Ward fights, Adrien Broner fights, Klitschko fights, Whitaker fights, and all these other great boxers and all their biggest fights. But fights like the ones between Gatti and Ward have done more for me than any of those other guys' fights. They were in a different dimension of boxing. They knew they werent Mayweathers or Whitakers, but they knew they would go through a hell none of those guys could ever go through, and they knew people would watch. As far as my experiences go, nobody remembers Mayweather-Baldomir, or Andre Ward-Green like they remember Gatti-Ward. They were conscious of what was to be said of them and they didnt care, they laced them up and fought like warriors in history books did. They didnt care they would be called stupid or caveman for the way they fought. They knew they were going to entertain people and make memorable fights. **** Ive seen more respect for Gatti and Ward on boxing forums than Ive seen for Mayweather. So in the end it doesnt matter what people said about them. There was something in them, that only them two will know. They knew that going through that fire, and coming out alive and standing on the other side, was better vindication and peace than any victory they could have. As Larry Merchant said, "They emptied themselves out for us. Thanks guys."
I saw it and enjoyed it. as some of you know I flew back from the odh/bhop fight next to Gatti on the plane. Touching when his daughter read the plaque.
What struck me was Lampley crying and getting so emotional. seemed staged.
Its only so long you can go on about 2 C level fighters hitting each other. HBO is really missing Golden Boy Promotions.
Which network has the 2 highest rated, most watched Live Boxing matches of 2013 again not including any Golden Boy fighters?

Right? Why watching Gatti/Ward when Andre Ward and Allan Green show us the real beauty of the sweet science
Did you watch Andre Ward take Mikkel Kessler to school? BTW that fight happened courtesy of Showtime not HBO boxing.
Its just hard to take the opinion of a person with a big red K bar serious..
Haterfree? Sounds like your hating to me..
This is why I lurk more than post here, because retards like you are allowed to voice their worthless opinion..
Get a job loser then maybe you can afford to see a PPV fight with 2 highly skilled fighters like Tim Bradley/Juan Manuel Marquez
Arturo Gatti "My hand broke."
Buddy McGirt "Huh?"
Arturo Gatti "My hand"
Buddy McGirt "What do you want me to do?"
Arturo Gatti "My right hand"
Buddy McGirt "What do you want me to do?"
Arturo Gatti "I've gotta keep going!"
Not many boxers like Gatti anymore
It was phenomenal. My only minor "complaint" (if you wish to call it that) is that I would like for Liev Schreiber to have been the narrator. Marky Mark did a fine job, though.
