Ricky Hatton was knocked out in similar fashion as Manny, but not as bad. He didn't need smelling salts to wake up. When Ricky came back he was a shell of himself versus a guy that can't even punch. Now, imagine if that was Rios. Does anybody else expect a similar fate for Manny?
thanks for the props slyslicksmooth & kev. but unlike a lot of posters w a ton of posts, i just watch boxing for fun. i produce, direct nd own my own adult entertainment website, been shooting since 09, generates 6 figures every fiscal year. i got alotta btches on my agenda that need my direct attention, i dont think i wna quit my day job.
okay fine
1) rios doesnt fight lefties, manny destroys righties w his left straight
2) rios is a come forward face first no defense fighter. hatton w/o head movement
3) rios fights in straight lines & needs to break you down as the fight goes on. unless manny stands right in front of him, rios'll be uneffective
4) mannys footwork is gna confuse rios, whom is slow nd already without footwork. rios willnever catch him
5) rios can be outboxed if you fight in circles nd give lateral movement. (alvarado & abril)
6) only 1 hitter quiter counter pucnhers (marquez) can take manny out. rios is not nd far from that kind of fighter

This is probably the best pre fight post I have ever read in the last 5 years. You saw things in Pac and Rios that nobody else saw. Nobody in their right mind would have ever predicted that Pac would outbox Rios. People thought Rios was going to outbox Pacquiao.
2) rios is a come forward face first no defense fighter.
Marvelous. Didn't know that.
unless manny stands right in front of him, rios'll be uneffective
Well, if any fighter stands in front of another fighter, they would put themselves in danger. I am glad you mentioned this.
4) mannys footwork is gna confuse rios, whom is slow
I was actually under the impression that Rios was fast and that Manny's footwork was like Adrien Broner's. Thanks for clarifying this.
5) rios can be outboxed if you fight in circles nd give lateral movement.
You should consider becoming a boxing trainer.
The fact that you actually bumped this post, so that we can read this golden prediction, makes you an even better poster.
Please, if Golovkin vs Adama ever happens some how, give us your insightful breakdown on who will win and how it will end up. I just don't know who's going to win that fight and I am eager to see an analytical breakdown of it by some one who actually boxes. Thanks.
So Rios wasn't weight drained for this one, what's the excuse now?
It's obvious right? Alex Arisa was a mole, the PEDs that were found in brandons system were more like PDD (performance degrading drugs), that arisa specifically gave him to sabotage his performance against pacquiao ;-)
a myth started by h0mosexuals. rios was weight drained for both fights and still should've won close decisions. and senchenko would've got ko'd by alvarado, this doesn't compare.

flint be honest, was that you? lol. nd this fight turned hectari into a pacmonster fan, props to manny on the conversion on that!

OP must be getting back on the short bus after denying this post about Rios.
Guess we've seen the last of opHe is more than likely just back on his main account posting about how Floyd is a coward and Rios is a better or equal win to Guerrero :lol1:

its ammonia.
After Hatton was KOd...he went on a suicidal drinking spree.
After Pacquiao got Kod...He went home and played Chess!
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
I think Manny will do just fine.

how many times are you gonna end this thread...yet it continues?
1.) wtf? i don't know, but I'm pretty sure the last righty he faced put him to sleep...can anybody confirm?
2.) fighters without defense get stopped, rios must be doing somethin right...guess that means manny isn't.
3.) Needs to break you down as the fight goes on....hmm, damn, does this mean he's not superman? is manny any different? is anybody any different? You're making this far too easy for me. Are you sure you've boxed?
4.) his footspeed was good in his prime, but not today. his foot work is heavy and predictable.
5.) rios should've fought alvarado better than that, but the weight loss clearly affected him. As for abril, how can you possible say you know anything about boxing and expect manny to box rios like abril, or alvarado for that matter? That's not manny. he can't shoulder roll, he doesn't know how to run around the ring. he does know how to leap frog into right hands tho.
6.) Assumption, Juan's not a knock out artist otherwise he would've dropped Manny with the countless clean right hands he's landed on him over their fights.
side note: i didn't ask.
Rios is gonna get the living sh*t beat out of him. Who are we trying to kid here? When did Rios all of a sudden become Chavez Sr? http://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/smugdon.pngAbout the same time that Pac became young again overnight and had no ill affects from the devastating KO he suffered in his last fight. No one knows how Pac will react yet. I think if he is back to what he was even in the JMM fight, he stops Rios in 6 rounds. But anyone who would be shocked if Rios wins has clearly not followed the sport very long because anything can happen and shocking things happen all the time and nothing surprises me.
No one knows what kind of physical and psychological damage Pac had from that KO which had to be one of the top 10 worst KO's in many years at this high level. Most expect Pac to blow right through Rios which is a reasonable assessment but until we see how that last fight affected him, we wont know till he steps in the ring. Nothing in Boxing is a foregone conclusion and I have seen everything happen inside those ropes. For Pac, I am hearing he has been looking great in training so we will see how that plays out on fight night.
