It was a great fight IMO and Khan was really tagging Garcia with a lot of combos. Kudos to Garcia for his patience in being able to pull off that wicked counter though. But it was an entertaining fight and I would love to see a rematch and see how Khan would fare if his defense holds up.
Thoughts?
I would like to see that rematch too. Amir doesn't seem to want to get his get backs against the guys who have knocked him out like Prescott, and Swift.
Why people acting like Khan was dominating?? He won the first round, the second he won but was getting hit a lot and timed by Danny and the rest was history
I'm on board for this fight. Profitable fight for both guys that should occur at 147. A very good tune up fight for Garcia for a Floyd fight. I don't think that fight would justify a Floyd match but hell who don't want to see Khan do the cha cha cha again
Yeah, let them fight at 147 and the winner gets Floyd. That wouldn't be a bad idea.
that was the plan all along but apparently, khan fails upwards because it went from him fighting the winner of that tourney, undeservedly, to him just flat out getting a floyd fight.

I agree, this is not a bad idea for goldenboy to market. It's a win-win for Goldenboy. If Khan wins, he will redeem himself and he's a cashcow. If Danny wins, he will only get bigger as a star. This could be a great push for a Floyd vs Danny/Khan fight.
Khan did more damage to Garcia than Lucas did

but once that hook landed and the brawl that proceeded after it, Khan looked lost, I still think the ref shud have let it carry on, Khan was regaining his senses somewhat

I would like to see a rematch, however i'd favour Garcia to win.
WTF?? The fight could have been stopped after the first KD dudes eyes were glossy as hell. He is lucky the ref didn't stop it than. Plus, if the fight keeps going Khan takes a further beating. Garcia has gotten better and better he would wreck Khan again.

I'm not sure Khan vs Garcia is the right fight to make at the moment. Garcia has improved immensely since their fight imo, whilst Khan seems to still find his feet with Hunter. A second KO defeat to Garcia would end Khan's career.
I see a fight against the Ghost as a better fight for Khan at this moment in time, and once he becomes more active and starts winning comfortably against good fighters again, he'll be ready for a rematch.
That being said, I was high on an immediate rematch at the time, but with Virgil, Khan has almost taken a step back in order to hopefully take two steps forward which normally happens with a new trainer.
Many people have admitted watching Danny get better and better with each fight, and I agree. Khan is still the same old Khan, fights in straight lines, susceptible to the left hook. Judging by their last fights, who would you pick?
I agree. Danny's progressed; Khan's regressed.
Khan must be thinking what a dumbass he was to underestimate this kid... probably the biggest underestimation job i've seen in a long time considering what Danny has gone on to do.... Amir's mental situation was terrible going into that fight
People on NSB make out that Garcia dominated Khan.
Khan was ripping up Danny's face with the in-and-out combos. He should have seen Danny's left hook coming (it flew past his face enough) and adapted. That's the problem with Khan, though, he becomes complacent and forgets about his paper chin.

I would like to see a rematch it would be interesting to see if kahn could get in and out without being tagged flush, but i think its a much more dangerous fight than the first one for kahn because dannys now twice the beast he was he looks more seasoned and his punches are sharp it will be great while it lasts.

Garcia was just timing the paper planes singer.....no need for a rematch
I'd love to see a rematch too. Good tuneup and preparation fight for Danny, for a possible Floyd showdown. Plus an easy payday for all. It makes sense to me.
This right here

No people act like Khan was totally trashing Danny and then got hit with a lucky punch. He was winning the first two rds and then got hammered.
