Well his promoter has a few fighters on HBO and is thankful for the business they give. Showtime aint done **** for him. It would be a slap in the face to let Prov fight on Showtime and he may not get future business with them for his other fighters... Makes sense.
However he said he has no issue with GBP.
If Danny wants it, he best leave GBP.
nah, more like he best leave Haymon
No, to be professional is to be leave the options open. Instead of saying "no chance", you can say "you are willing to work with everyone, but at the mean time your contract is with HBO". You can't just write off options, because no one knows what the future holds.
It's one or the other, there's no fencesitters anymore. If he wants to be on Showtime he needs to sign with GBP/Haymon, which means no HBO. Now HBO have treated him well, seems pretty clownish to try to cut a better deal when HBO is still #1 and proven they will feature him.
It'd be unprofessional to bite the hand that feeds you, which in the current climate means crossing over to the other network. Not to mention it would be wicked stupid in this case especially

No need to go there. Even the people with any sort of class over at HBO must quietly disapprove of such statements. Never take sides. It's a long winding road.
That is a very unprofessional statement. This might come back to bite them one way or another. Emotions should not get in the way of sound business decisions.

Would like to see him fight some GBP fighters but HBO gave him the chance of his life. It's not like the current SHowtime management is known for continuously working with out-of-house fighters who beat one of their own.
Look what they did to Pirog.
They're hoping the loyalty will pay off in the long run. HBO uses him whether he wins or loses as opposed to Showtime maybe discarding him if he loses and HBO not willing to sign him up again for leaving

I don't see how they don't want to fight Mayweather? I would pay to watch that fight, Ruslan's extremely good at cutting the ring off and that's what allows him to throw his power punches.
Provodnikov is the kind of guy who will fight anyone put in front of him. He's the kind that don't have the mentality of a coward. People who say otherwise are idots.
Provo reminds me of the character Victor in the Paradise Alley movie. One quip I can never forget was the line, "He's too stupid to get scared."
Broner will put a clinic on these guys thou....
Yall dont seem to understan... skills is all that matters, not wild caveman style with your chin in the air
So why are they putting him in with these bums all the time? And he's already managed to lose on most cards 2x to the fighters way worse and smaller than these guys you put down. And looked like sh1t vs 10-1 underdog Paulie, who got busted up by Cano and would get brutalized by all these dudes. Seems like the standards are lower over on Showtime, must come with lower viewership numbers.
As a boxer you are your own product and you cant be loyal unless the people selling your product are loyal and take care of you. If this is the case for him...Great. If not then he needs to take care of him the product
Showtime only intersted in fighters wid skills. Showtime got the skills fighters, HBO got those dum face first cavemen.
Like Mr Showtime Soto Karass and the guy Broner is fighting next
