Ok, if you could choose one fighter to win a dog fight, that was just a brutal brawl, who would you take,,,
me personally
lower weights- James Toney
Heavyweight- george foreman
I'd take Margarito and Pac. Pac would keep his phaser on stun as a Klingon lookalike from the Starship Enterprise, and Margarito...who didn't need Gucci brass knuckles, just straight plaster. I'd have Pac wear a helmet and Margarito would wear body armour.
Hagler was my second choice behind Duran. But I had to go with Duran cause nobody has his cojones. I'd take Hagler with me tho.

why in the world would you take tony in a dog fight?
Thats not his style
Duran
rios
hagler
castillo
corrales
forman
holyfield
hatton
vasquez
Im sure im missing some but those guys are brutal
Just cause its a dog fight doesn't automatically mean it has to be a brawler. Have you ever seen Toney fight?

A young hopkins that got dropped by mercado when he opened up,, and then boxed him easily in the rematch, Hopkins is a goon no doubt but in a boxing brawl he wouldnt be nearly as effective
are u trying to say mercado was the only guy he ever opened up on? hey I'm not saying Hopkins was some kinda super beast or anything but the executioner was an avoided fighter in the 90s. if the internet/twitter was around then he would be the margarito or the GGG.
also add to the fact that he went to jail for "strong arm robbery" meaning he didn't use a gun or a knife. while I don't respect it per se this does tell me that Hopkins is a G and he can definitely have my back in a street fight.

I'm surprised nobody said Rocky Marciano. Tough as nails and he had one-punch power. He always seemed to me like he could bust heads in a street fight.
Sugar Ray Robinson crossed my mind as well, but I'm going with Rocky.
Whoever picks Floyd it's an automatic loss via forfeit.
I'd go with Duran. Is Ali allowed or is he too great?

Duran is far greater than Ali. Unfortunately he wasn't an American who opposed Vietnam and had Howard Cosell to defend him. ....
Vargas was in a dogfight with tito,, and became retarded due to it
Toney would kill rios, hatton, vasquez, corrales,,, you need to watch some more toney,, nobody beats toney if they stand and trade with him
Duran is a solid choice,, Ali is allowed, anyone is, but i wouldnt take him in in a dogfight,, frazier beat him in the 1st fight, and ali wasnt trying to stand toe-2-toe with foreman,,,
LOL one of the most boring fighters I have seen him and ya he beats them because hes double there size. I was listing all the bad ass fighters regardless of weight and toney is not up there

In a one on one fight Hopkins beats every one mentioned here excluding the HW's.

Okay, I thought you were talking about throw down dog fight as in a street fight.
Hopkins beat Pascal in what could be considered a brawl. But no, Hopkins is a boxer first, brawling is not in his game.
You can't think of boxing when talking about brawls. Hopkins is from the streets first, boxer second. He'd probably have a good laugh if you say your post to him in his face.
You can't really "fight" in a boxing match. Even the most brutal fights like Gatti-Ward, there's lots more boxing going on there than actual brawling. There's just no defense going on, so people call it a brawl. Because that's what it is relative to other boxing matches
In brawls, there's headlocks, the good old leg sweeps, scraping of the eyes, take downs. I think i'd take a 185lbs, 6' 1" Bernard Hopkins over most of these small/short guys people are mentioning. Add in B-Hops headbutts, and they're pretty f-cked.
Ok dude,, dont take things so literal,,,
the premise of the thread, is if it was a straight up brawl, like foreman-lyles, gatti-ward, JLC-chico,, those type fights, where it is 2 guys banging it out with no clinching, hugging, stalling, etc,,, who would you have as the best in those fights,,,
hopkins is great but he wouldnt fair well in those type fights and he knows this, that is why he never tried and brawled with tito, holmes, johnson, eastman, taylor, tarver, etc.....
Please name the all out brawl that hopkins won

LOL... What is this? Pryor vs Toney? They invent weight divisions for a reason...
If you didn't meant in a boxing match then I'll take Roy against Toney then.
Not in a technical boxing fight, but one where it is a straight up brawl, where both guys stand toe-2-toe for the duration, like hagler-hearns, or JLC-chico
And this is fantasy type p4p stuff, i realize pryor and toney are different divsions, but p4p in a brawl, toney would kill him

Hopkins wont win any brawling dog fights,, he got dropped by mercado and pascal,,, hopkins is a technician that breaks guys down, he wouldnt have beaten tito if he just stood there and traded
