Disregard possible outcomes of an early point deduction and base this fight on what it was. Do you think Wlad should have been disqualified for his constant grabbing-clinching antics?
Official CompuClinch numbers counted 176 clinches in the fight.

Lacedup translation-"I got schooled by slimshandy69 and I don't want to continue to get destroyed by him"
come on man. Im a wlad fan too ( for now) but that was a horrendous fight. there was just no excuse for it and povetkin is being much too nice. if I were him Id be damn pissed at both wlad and that terrible ref
Wlad and Vitali are too classy guys who have been sole lights in an otherwise grim division. They are doing everyone a favour by being dedicated to their craft for as long as they have, even if not always providing the excitement their predecessors did. However, guys like that guy are giving the K bros a bad name and are a big reason why a lot of people dislike them.
journeyman??? corrie saunders a journieman, common you are getting silly.
Plus people lose, nadal struggled with Federer at first and now hes dicks them.Manny Pacquio lost early on in his career and Hopkins lost his first ever fight. Did you not see the rematch with BREWSTER which shows how much he improved. Plus he was blatantly drugged/ill in the first one.
1-0 to Slishandy69
Joe LOUIS LOST TO 5 FT 10 Rocky Marciano.
WLAD careers not even finshed yet, and you know that the chances look good that he will go on to break records.
you know the maths is sensationally in my favour on this and his careers no where near finished, that's what even more horrendous for your woeful logic.
51 koes is more than most people career wins and he had 24 title fight

Another woeful thread from the ugly Lacedup with his horrendous hatred towards eastern block fighters.
Povetkin never complained once and said that WLADIMIR is the and I quote "best fighter in the world in all weight classes"
Povetkin and haye just cant get inside to WLAD as hes to Athletic, so they duck extremely low, so they are just as much to blame.
Wlad was class imo and is blatantly the greatest heavyweight of all time, as the stats are proving.

I can agree with this. He should have been warned, but we can't say he should have been DQed when ref didn't do his job. YOu can't be DQed without warning. I doubt Wlad would continue to do it if he was warned on time.
Id like to think he would have stopped and let his hands go but im not sure. muscle memory may cause him to do it instctively regardless of warnings and point deductions. much like golota and his low blowing
Nothing you said made any sense. At all actually. His 51 KOs is by no means the highest number of KOs in history, and he doesn't have the highest KO ratio. let's put that aside. He's lost 3 times to journeymen and part time boxers. He has not been in more title fights and has not beaten most top 10 contenders. He hasn't defended his belts the most (yet) and has not faced the best opponents. These are FACTS.
So once again, what maths are you talking about? You clearly have no idea about boxing, so just stop it.
And I'm not familiar with Joe Lewis? I know a Joe Louis, and he beat a guy who was bigger than Wlad, so I don't get your point on that one. Also, Wlad has beaten his fair share of smaller men. Haye, Byrd, Chambers etc.
Just go away.

WLAD is not to far from the most title defences ever in a much tougher era than the midgets of joe lewis who got his ass taxed by rocky.
51 knock outs, he has to have one of the highest ko rates and percentages ever for a world champion. Hes been in more title fights than most fighters, and he barely losses a round.
And hes no where near done, the maths is so strong its ridiculous that WLAD is the best heavyweight ever.
Povetkin said WLAD schooled him fair and square, do I listen to a successful amateur and pro heavyweight boxer, or do I listen to some spotty keyboard warrior from some council house in England.
I think ill listen to povetkin....
Joe Lewis:rofl:
On a serious note I think that Lennox Louis was better.

What other eastern block fighters do I criticize? So the 150+ initiated clinches should go unpunished? lol, step aside troll. you are way out of your depth.
And what stats are proving him to be the best of all times? I'd like to know that,

he should have been warned in round 1, then deducted points in round 2 and onwards
and if he carried on he should have been dq'd

he absolutely should have been dq'ed assuming he would have continued it after a couple stern warnings. one of the worst refereeing Ive ever seen. if that guy refs another big fight its a travesty
Pabon has proven his worthlessness time and time again. I don't see why he wouldn't ref again, as it's not the first time he's had a stinker like this. Irony was that Wlad was deducted a point for pushing.. facepalm.

So who do you think did better against Wlad? Povetkin or Haye?
Lol Haye clearly.
This is not up to debate.
People can say that Povetkin showed more heart and determination. That I would agree with. But Haye and Wlad was a relatively close fight up to the 6-7 rounds, not really much in the fight other than a couple of Wlad's jabs. After that, Wlad dominated more, but not in the sense that it was devastatingly obvious as it was with Povetkin.
Tbh honest I wasn't really too bothered on the night. It was an awful fight - the two didn't gel well together at all. But Wlad certainly didn't try to do anything about it, Povetkin did. If I'm not mistaken I think it's the lowest output of punches Wlad has had for 10 years per round on avg.
I did read some things about people thought he was getting old and slow - Disagree with that completely. He looked pretty good on his feet Wlad. But yeah, would've loved to be in the mix on Saturday!
Povetkin made me a fan that night.
