Atlas was just on ESPN2 discussing the JMM-Bradley fight. At the end of that convo, Skipped asked him who would be the better opponent for Floyd between Bradley(if he wins) and Garcia. Atlas then said he would go with Garcia but doesnt think he has much of a chance because he's "too light in the fanny".
This goes back to what I keep saying about the double standard and Floyd being penalyzed for being too good. Garcia routinely is bigger on fight night then Floyd. Ive met them both in person and Garcia looks naturally bigger but yet he is viewed as too light in the fanny strictly because Floyd's skillset is so good that it allows him to be huge guys.
Its true even with fans. No one wants to see Floyd-Garcia. No one. Everyone thinks its a mismatch while if anyone else from 135-147 fought Garcia, it would be a must see fight. Floyd is a mistmatch even though at worst they are the same size and Garcia is probably bigger.
When you talk about Floyd's opponents its always Canelo, Sergio, Lara, etc. No one his own size. Anything else is unacceptable. Then ofcourse there is another opponent in which Atlas said he would love to see Floyd fight but he knows wont happen. Its the same guy alot of crazy fans wanna see and thats Triple G. Again, Floyd is probably smaller than Garcia but he has to fight Triple G? It makes no sense. You cant keep penalyzing someone for being too good.

Are you serious here? Floyd has 3 fights at 154, Garcia has no fights at 147.
Floyd and his team keep on saying that size don't win fights. They also say that CWs drains fighters but then when Floyd CWs even though they both had 154 division titles, Floyd fans are protecting Floyd from taking that advantage away from Canelo.
Again, it's not hard to understand. Garcia proved NOTHING at 147 ..... Floyd proved he can fight at 154.
Mayweather-Garcia is the best fight out there for Mayweather at this moment in time IMO.
He has the best shot of anyone around 140-147 but there's no one I wouldn't favour him over.
I'd love to watch Floyd fight any of the guys mentioned. However I would only pay for a couple of those as PPV. When you earn 30+ mil per fight you better expect fans are gonna want you to earn it.
I'm surprised that he didn't pick Garcia to beat Floyd with one of his patented, world famous analogies:
See now, da thing is dis. Floyd is da corned beef on rye wid a glassa milk. Da problem is, Danny's the 1000 island dressin' with da sauakraut and a pickle on top and dats da best paht of a Reuben sandwich. I mean you bite into a sandwich and go "where's da dressin kraut and pickle?" Danny's gonna cova da Floyd sandwich with dat dressin' , kraut and pickle, so I expect him to win.
"Floyd is a danca, he's a bulletproof vest that defends great but can't shoot the bullet for you. So you need that rifle bullet that shoots through the vest to get the wet noodles beneath."
I don't know why I expected them to actually talk about Bradley and Marquez when I watched that. At least Atlas did, anyway.
There are guys that can give floyd a good fight. GGG, provodnikov, Ortiz, Bradley.
Those can beat him. yes yes yes, ortiz lost but he can beat him if his mind is right next time around.
Prov and Ortiz have 0 chance....come on now. Ortiz was lookin for a way out of the first fight. Prov is being overhyped because Bradley fought like he had something to prove. GGG is a big challenge...and Bradley I'm not sure what he has that's better than Floyd in any aspect.
I've got no problem with Teddy at all, but his predictions are funny.
I think he's great. He's so serious about things, it's hilarious when he gets upset.

Leave Teddy alone man, he's old school.
