Sergio Martinez
Manny Pacquiao
Antonio Margarito
2007 Shane Mosley
Cotto takes on all comers, and with Freddie Roach now in his corner, he ain't letting up as he's looking for the Martinez fight next. As Freddie said it, "Line 'em up".
TBH, I think a "Wild Card" trained Miguel Cotto takes it right to Floyd and beats him in a rematch.
I'd give you red k for being a straight up phaggot. Tell us, howEat a d*ck alt lol. Coward ass created an alt because of the fire lit under your ass under your original screen name because you don't know boxing.

Floyd was overtrained when he fought Cotto. In a rematch Cotto will have to fight a combination of two Mayweathers; The Mayweather who fought Ghost, and the Mayweather who fought Canelo. Its a serious problem for Cotto if it goes down, and Floyd has gotten stronger. I wanna see the fight.
First of all nothing is confirmed, secondly if it does happen,Why didn`t Cotto fight Martinez when Martinez was in his prime?Cotto had a chance to fight a prime Martinez when he first jumped to junior middleweight, but yet he chose the weakest champion in Yuri Foreman.Cotto also had a chance to fight Martinez instead of and old Mayorga but he chose to fight an old Mayorga instead.Martinez looked way past his prime it in his last fight, that`s why Arum is targeting Martinez. And many felt Martinez lost his last fight and it was against a mediocre opponent.
SMH, at what point was Martinez in his 'prime'? He hasn't lost a fight since he lost a questionable decision to Paul Williams. He is technically still in his prime. Your an idiot.
Props to Floyd for whooping Cotto's a$$!
You are a clown if u think Floyd whooped cottos a$$,, that fight was 7-5 to me,, not everyone is a Floyd nut hugger
I always found it funny Floyd retired when the welterweight division heated up. Prime Cotto, Plaster Margarito, Paul 6'2 welterweight Williams. Floyd could have made his ww resume look awfully good beating those guys at that time. Then him not fighting Pacquiao made it even funnier. But it is what it is. All those guys went to war and lost. While Floyd stood back and is still on top.The ww division was hot when Floyd retired? Who was hot? How long did this hotness last?
Top Rank fighters were fighting Top Rank fighters winning 1 fight and losing around 2008.
Who was dominating during this time at ww? Cotto lost to Margarito, Margarito lost to Shane, Williams lost to Quintana, Clottey lost to Cotto...all around 2008. Floyd dominated sfw, lw, and had a short stay at jww.
At ww, what was he supposed to do..fight Arum's boys when he left Top Rank for reasons of his own? Was he supposed to go through the whole Top Rank clique?
When the dust settled, none of those Top Rank guys became big as Floyd fighting that tough comp because they couldn't separate themselves from the rest like Floyd did at sfw and lw. Give the "Floyd retired when the division was hot" mess a rest.
Cotto is a great fighter but I don't think it takes cutting down Floyd to see that. Pure recognition and appreciation comes from just looking at the fighter himself rather than taking a shot at Floyd at the same time.

It doesn't change the fact that Floyd's a cherry picking duck either.
Floyd with out a doubt has a better resume than cotto. Floyd's hated cause of his persona while cotto is a nice quiet guy.
He's not a gatekeeper but he's not doing something that plenty of fighters before him haven't done. He's a very good fighter but he's far from great.
I didn't intend it to come off as him being at gatekeeper status. He's not he's better than that. It's just how this thread is being worded...it's what it makes him sound like. He fought all these top guys....but he lost. That's what gatekeepers do. He's a good/great fighter in a division with elite fighters...not his fault but to me he gets points for heart and that's that. I don't rate him higher as a fighter because he took on all comers and lost is the point I'm making.

Who did he duck?
Nobody fought paul williams at welterweight. Not floyd, not cotto, not pacquiao, not mosley.
Tszu lost to hatton around the time floyd got to 140.
Magarito has never beaten anybody.
Pacquiao said he's scared of needles, then he said he needs a 14 day cut off. Then a year later he said he will take the test.
But maybe your right
Though it's mostly lose. There's no denying he's a courageous fighter but he's not an "elite" fighter. Most of the time he fought the best he lost. That puts him at a gatekeeper level. I don't understand why people try to hype this?

Win, lose or draw, Cotto has damn near fought them all.

There is absolutely no doubt that he would. Too much pressure, too much power, too much intelligence.
He had the same power, intelligence, and pressure when he lost last year.
he lost to all of them and will lose to Martinez but I can't say he ducked them.
Respect
Those were tough fights ad I gotta give him props for stepping up in an era were the best tens I avoid each other as much as possible.
Please name these 'fighters' he's ducked I'll wait.
He's fought just abt every top guy.win or lose.
Hell he gave Austin Trout an opportunity when no one else wanted to.
Paul Williams? Talk to Arum
Hatton? Talk to Arum
Cotto's not really the type to be picky give him a damn good payday and itll happen no *****ing. He wants to correctly get compensated that's all. But duck lmaooooo OK.
He won't be able to name any. Cotto would beat Hatton and Williams, why duck them to face prime Margarito and prime Pacquiao at a CW? :lol1:
The point is that Cotto didn`t fight every top fighter like some people claim.
