I think it was fair enough. Rodriguez looked out of it at the end of the 2nd...and immediately backed up when coming out of the 3rd.
The ref could of gave a count and see how Rodriguez looked. To be fair though, Delvin looked like he didn't want to know.
It was a good stoppage where the ref saved a fighter from himself. That said, i always believe a fighter should be allowed to get up and evaluate his condition once he is on his feet. I absolutely hate when refs jump on a fighter trying to get up right away.
I would have liked to see the ref give Rodriguez a count at least to see how he responded. But Max Kellerman said a minute or two after the fight ended, Rodriguez was still wobbly on his feet, so I guess that justifies the stoppage.
I don't think dude ever recovered from that hook at the end of the second round (even though he claimed he did in the post fight press conference). Dude went to his corner squinting and blinking. I think that punch essentially ended the fight.
I'm in the train of thought that he should have gotten a count.... Got caught hard multiple times, but he wasn't pinned up against the ropes taking multiple shots while he was defenseless
I think it was obvious Rodriguez didn't want anymore and if ref's notice this before a knockdown 9 out of 10 times they'll stop the fight whether the fighter looks tremendously hurt or not.. good call imo only one outcome
Heck when Rodriguez was down at the end of the second i was kind of disappointed thinking he was going to quit as it looked that way... he was looking for a way out and the ref is only obliged to do so

Rodriguez was giving obvious submission signs at the end of the second round, I noticed it instantly and the ref looks for these things, he had no will left maybe if Rodriguez started protesting like vitali was against Lewis I might agree.
