Sure was dissapointing, and i'm a fan. Needs to pick it up next time around.
I do not blame Crawford completely for that fight. His opponent was simply too passive and defensive. It is hard to get something going in those situations. Crawford being a natural counter puncher, tried fighting as the aggressor but you could tell it was not his game. He thinks defensively first and he does not play the role as the aggressor naturally (think JMM vs Floyd).
Crawford though should have realized buy the 5th or 6th that he was levels above the guy and opened up. He should have at least tried to get the guy out of there, but is too set in his ways. That is a bad thing because he has a ton of potential.
I dunno bro I was there live.. he stunk it up pretty bad in there. I don't doubt that he's talented but at some point you have to realize you're fighting on national television and basically selling yourself to a wider audience. They way I saw things going, Crawford looked like he was trying to play it safe and outlast the guy. Of course I left sometime in the 10 round to take a p1ss break and didn't catch the end result of the fight so alot of this is news to me too.
Its no denying that the fight was horrible. But what I saw was him outboxing well in the first round. The crowd didnt even give him a chance, so they started booing instantly. Then he started walking the guy down, and acting as if he was anxious to do more damage. But when he got anxious, the guy started to move, shell up, and was able to see that Crawford was anxious. Crawford knows how to fight, but as I stated earlier, the guy's feints also offset Tcraw. He would throw a touch jab, and the guy would feint, and he would stop and start all over. Crawford's weakness is feints. Floyd falls for them in the first few rounds, and in random spots throughout the fight. But Crawford falls for them bad.

Crawford wasn't bad. It boils down to the idiots wanting to see guys getting hurt and or knocked out.
Here we have a fight with two relatively unknown boxers, with not much to relate to going the distance.
Although a one sided beat-down by Crawford, he will not get credit here.
Lol. Boxing is a hurt sport. Try crocheting. Its more suitable for your soft tastes.

He's not a great fighter, you have to beat someone in the Top 300 to be great, Crawford hasn't done that.
To murky, being black is enough to be considered great.

Oh GTFO, the guy was a sittin there, he was no Presscott, no pop, now was Crawford's chance to take a little risk and get the guy out in impressive fashion, against a guy like that is where he he had room to look impressive but he kept it safe.... and it was boring. Even his corner was yelling at him. :bottle:
It had nothing to do with risk. Learn about boxing. I just said he did small things to offset Crawford. What he did was kept feinting, and every time he did Crawford was reacting to it. So when Crawford was trying to use his touch jab, the guy would feint, and Crawford would pull back. And he kept doing it, so Crawford would touch/jab, pull back, touch/jab pull back. NOW you have learned boxing.

I think your putting too much meaning in the word great. I never said he was a legend. But he is a great fighter.
You have to take advantage of those opportunities to make fans. The best fighters stop someone like that. It's not like Klimov was doing anything to stop Crawford.
In my honest opinion, he needs to stop fighting out of a southpaw stance, he's much better conventional, good left hook to the head/ body, good straight/ overhand right and better defensively. It's good to turn southpaw momentarily to stop your opponent from adjusting, but again...momentarily. As a southpaw he doesn't have much of an attack to the body, straight left isn't there and he's got a horrible right hook. That said, he has a lot of improvements to make which I think he will.
