Not sure if any of you have seen this but still...I find this very fishy and hard to believe:
Maybe Booth realised that Froch would be too much and told Groves not to take the fight on. My only thoughts are - why so late to announce the split even if this may be the case? Not to mention, even Booth has said it himself that Groves can beat Froch at this very moment in time.
Well he could say he thinks Groves will lose, but that would look like he wanted out because he didn't want to be associated with a loss. It's easier to say he thinks Groves will win and then not tell anyone why they've split.
Who knows what the real reason is, but I think it will ultimately come out as either being about his pocket or his reputation.
Hm. Na he'd at least be less confident in Grove's winning to leave some safety leg room. See what booth says post fight. But I don't trust him,he'd change stances to suite.
I agree...all the more reason he wouldnt lie he thinks he'll win...ultimately making himself look a little bad.
He has no reason to not at least tweak his remarks. Doesn't stack together.

You have a different impression of him than I do. I see him as someone who chooses his words carefully.
I like Groves but he isn't winning this fight and Booth knows it.

Booth usually speaks his mind and is often pretty cuntish, hence dropping Groves.
Would he really stop short at just saying, he could well lose?
He'd just out with it.

Booth has plenty of time on his hands now, what with Haye out with that injury. I smell something fishy, this might just be a tactic by Groves/Booth to confuse Froch, or not. Either way, Groves wont last 6 rounds.
lol yeah sure he does. Booth knows what's coming, that's why he jumped ship to protect his own rep.

They picked a hell of a time to leave Groves hanging. Right before the biggest fight of his career.
It's a shame, I like the way this kid fights. Froch is going to beat him but he should still have a bright future ahead.
Oh, and apparently Booth still thinks Grove's will be Froch regardless.

I had a thread speculating on the split, and it looks like Booth just thought Grove's wasn't listening anymore apparently.
Grove's can be a bit cocky at times but Booth more so, so I think it was just an eventual clash and breakdown.
Haye is Booth's number one, and training Haye may well have factored into his decision. Thing is that fight's now delayed so it looks like a knee jerk needless move by Booth to be honest.

I believe he has no time while preparing Haye for Tyson Fury match, and Groves needs full time trainer becouse there is bigest fight in his life upcoming.
