Who would have won if they were the same size and who is the best boxer since the 80s?

For me, Floyd is the slightly better fighter and would have out smarted/boxed Roy if they were the same size. Roy was more spectacular given his even faster handspeed, combinations and power.
I give Floyd the slight reflexes edge because of his whole upper body movement and reactions rather than Roy.
In my opinion Roys power is underrated... Outside of fighting Ruiz at heavyweight, he was always a threat of knocking someone out! His speed was frightening! Offense next to none (in my opinion closest comparison is Robinson). Footwork as graceful as Floyd's! Pound 4 Pound Roy Was A God Amongst Men!

How does Jones only get a 9 in "reflexes"? His reflexes were off the chart in my opinion. In fact I've never seen another fighter with those kinds of reflexes.

Floyd fought the much better guys, even if they weren't at their best.
FYI, I dislike Floyd.
Idiodic reply. Floyd beat wore out names and weak arce opposition.
And it shows. Any fast , smart , slid fighter can beat flat footers for a living.
And avoid the biggest threats like the plague.
James toney himself said his and floyds shoulder roll wont work against roy.
He is to quick , too fast and to raw and naturally talented of an athlete.
Floyd would have to pressure roy to have any succuss and that doom in reality for a feather fist like floyd.

Lmao. How many times was roy hit , hit flush in prime???
This is garbage .
How many james toneys , b hops and tarvers has floyd beat ?
One guy beat prime hall of famers and the other feasted off slow flat footers
Roy p4p beats everyone floyd ever faught easy.
Cant say the same about floyd cause he never beat 1 A fighter or prime A fighter like roy did. Plus floyd has never moved up 30 pounds to be out weighed 30 pounds on fight night (60 pounds total) vs ruiz.
To beat a bigger man. Roy started at 154 and moved ip 51 pounds to fight a man that out weighed him 30 pounds .
Floyd fights ghost, quitter ortiz and inexperienced hype jobs like canelo.
Roy is the most naturally gifted fighter but Mayweather has way better technical skills. When Mayweather's natural talents erode he just falls back on his superior technique.
The closest fighter Roy ever faced that's similiar to Floyd was James Toney, who he beat by a wide margin. The closest fighter Floyd ever faced to Roy was Zab Judah, who gave him problems very early in the fight. In saying that, I think Roy gives Floyd the same problems Zab gave him, except Roy would be strong for all 12 rounds. I see Roy winning a UD with Floyd getting dropped at least once.
lol @ floyd having the inside game of 8 .. his defense is 10 on the inside but not his offense or anywhere near that IMO ....one reason why is becuase it's hard for floyd to score points on the inside having only one hand working the offense, with the other working the defnse , thats ALWAYS, thats his nature...floyd is far from james toney boys....
plus , the power aint all that for floyd p4p , roy destroys floyd ....
Anybody who would waste his time comparing Roy Jones with Phony Phloyd Mayweather really must know nothing about boxing. And I'm just wasting my time here in pointing it out.
Roy Jones Jr all day. I like Money but Roy in his prime was a beast. Outside of the Hopkins, Roy destroyed his opposition.
Go back and watch the RJJ vs Richard Hall fight. Roy told the ref that Hall couldn't continue at the end of 10th round and ref brushes him off. Roy then proceeds to finish Hall with a 15-hit combo in the next round leading the ref to finally stop the fight.
inside game - 6???
roy loved laying on the ropes and ripping left hooks to the body. roy did some of his best work on the inside. nobody got the better of roy on the inside until late in his career.
Most of the time he'd just go to the ropes for a quick breather, put his guard up and block a few shots then move off. He has done good work on the ropes vs the likes of Sosa, Brannon and Tarver 3 off the top of my head but nothing like the inside fighting Floyd has shown against the likes of N'dou and Chavez.
Giving Floyd less than Roy on footwork and giving Roy a 6 on inside game are indicative of people not knowing what they're talking about.
I gave them the same footwork, I think Floyd deserves a 10 in hindsight remember the old SFW Floyd vs Corrales.
Heres how I see it:
Mayweather would get exposed in one important area. Floyd is quick, his punches are incredibly accurate and straight with no wasted motion and they are virtually untelegraphed. But people tend to misjudge this advantage and think Mayweather is faster than he actually is. Example: Judah is in a class of speed similar to Jones and he gave Mayweather some problems.
Jones is freakin fast as hell! Truly.....unmitigated, raw speed. This beats Mayweather know why? ain't no shoulder roll gonna counter Jones punches, too fast. Mayweather would look like Marquez looked against him.
Really bad match up for Floyd and the other categories don't much matter because Defense or not Floyd isnt going to tap that chin, the fight won't happen on the inside, so forget that, footwork, while a factor would be tied in with speed and Jones would be too quick all nite instead of the 3 rounds Judah showed what speed could potentially do against mayweather.
Thats how I see it
