I see what you are saying but that analogy is a little off. Who's he supposed to go to? Bob Arum? He's probably behind it. WBC? They are corrupt as hell. Heck yeah! I love when AUDIENCE members involve themselves in boxing matches that have NOTHING to do with them. Virgil Hunter was just an audience member. He, most likely, doesn't know the judges and doesn't know the people that were standing over them. Him stepping up and interfering in a situation where he, himself, is not sure that something fishy is truly happening would be an immature action from a thoughtful man.
