Adonis Stevenson vs. Winner of Pascal-Bute

Stevenson-Pascal is a good competitive fight I think. Stevenson is probably too fast and hits too hard to lose to Bute, but we'll see what Bute looks like against Pascal. Are Bute and Pascal even going to fight anymore? I don't know. January 25th I believe they rescheduled it for.

Pascal beats Stevenson I think. Also stevenson is 36, hes probably not got long left in the sport I always forget about Adonis' age. He needs to keep his career moving at a brisk pace.

I'd favour Pascal over Adonis, but i don't know if Pascal can hurt him. Stevenson hasn't really been fazed in his past few outings, and since the Boone loss his chin doesn't seem too bad, while mainly untested. For me, i see Pascal being too quick, with in and out smothering attacks but Pascal takes shots himself and it would make for a good fight. Stevenson will stop Bellew, and i hope he fights the Pacal/Bute winner (Pascal for me) or Kovalev. Two great potential match-ups.

Also Adonis Stevenson seems to be one of the guys of the new wave, Golovkin, Mikey Garcia, Stevenson, Crawford, Kovalev, Provodnikov, Alvarado, Rios, and Ward, that HBO is pushing right now. Without doing business with GBP, they have had to look in different places then usual for their talent and I believe we as boxing fans have benefited because of that fact. Yes it would be best if there wasn't any issues with TR and GBP and HBO and Showtime, but there is. HBO's fall run is going to have be great to be up there with Showtime's summer run, which was great.

I think Stevenson likely knocks out Bellew but I gurantee that Stevenson doesn't look as good as he did tonight when he fights Bellew. Isn't Cloud such a great fighter Dan? :lol1: Hopefully we don't have to ever watch him on HBO again.

I'll pick Pascal over Bute and Stevenson.

Unless Lucian looks reborn at LHW against Pascal, I just don't think he can last 12 rounds with a puncher like Adonis. I expect an Adonis KO in 8 rounds. Pascal would be more difficult proposition because of his speed and athleticism. He would beat Adonis to the punch occasionally, but I don't think he'd hurt Adonis. Stevenson showed tonight he can box, but it's not hard to look skillful against slow, plodding Tavoris Cloud. I think Stevenson pulls out a close, deserved UD in a great fight. I expect Pascal to beat Bute by KO in their fight in January and then fight Stevenson in June and lose a UD in great fight in which we may call for a rematch. :boxing:
