If Hopkins today said he had one more big fight left in him after Murat (assuming he wins). What would you say would be that last big victory that would have even more buzz around his stellar career? I am not talking about beating someone who people would completely disregard as a "so what?". But another "man, that Hopkins pulls it off again!"
I would love to see Hopkins vs Martinez at 168. Martinez being passed his prime wouldn't be a sine since he would fighting a much older Hopkins. I would have to pick Bernard for this on btw.
Moving up in weight IMO. Let's face it he's got no shot against Ward. He always talked about getting a heavyweight crown, why not close his career on that?
argree or not
i like how everyone pick andre ward is the fighter that:poke: I been watching boxing stand out to me the most since I been watching cotto In 2007 when Floyd retire so ward would delete that roy lost and therefore make him the top 5 fight evre ever
fighting james toney at heavyweight, both old school fighters, both should have fought earlier. be a quality fight to get interested in. he gains legacy if he wins both from beating a heavyweight and beating one of the greatest boxers of his generation. i think toney would turn up in shape (better shape at least) if he knew he was fighting hopkins. one last big pay day for 2 greats.
Beating Ward would be unbelievable for BHop at this age. That's the only W he could get that would mean something. All the other guys would be nice wins but wouldn't do much for his legacy.
No way b hop beats ward but if he some how did then that would be one of the best victories of all time. I could, however see him beating froch and that would also be a hell of a victory for him.
