Nobody is disagreeing ya goose , they coming in with a personal insult and nothing else , that is forum history motivated not this debate .
A simple question pick a current elite fighter than can beat his last 14 opponents at the rate of one every 8 wks , .
The point Im making is it cannot be done against " top completion " , if its bums they are against all can do it .
Its not hard to figure out kid just think about it .
The point is you have no proof it can't be done. And no one said every fighter Louis fought was elite, only that most were or had recently been top 10 ranked.
Funny that not a single person agrees with you. But Im open minded. Show me one respected trainer, historian or fighter who considers Louis' achievement as lowly as you. You can't. And just calling it "soft comp" doesn't make it so. You've obviously missed the fact that fighting more often most fighters will gather more losses. Of course Joe Louis wasn't "most fighters".

Ive been doing that forever with the boxing ignorance of some of you , I have never spoken with so many hype swallowers in one place , you wanna talk about boxing as in boxing , and the idiots throw all sorts of irrelevant numbers that they don't even understand past the number , and cannot answer a single thing put to them .
Fact is kid , if you can win 14 World title defenses in 2 years , that is soft comp , and I don't give a rats where they were rated at the time , its soft comp , you cannot fight that often against " real " competition , so cringe some more kid .
Fess up Leonard Ellerbe! We know it's you!

Louis record was with an undisputed championship. Mayweather has only gathered select titles and there is a big difference between a champion and a titlist.
It is like costume jewelry, it looks nice but it is not the same as the real thing.
You lost our debate so bad it aint funny LOL
Louis did have 14 title defenses in in 2 yrs that was never disputed by me only in your scrabble game , they were of such low grade opponents they were given the title of " Bum of the Month " by history , look it up fool its well documented .
That's my point kid , they were for the vast majority bums , if you know anything they had to be lol , go ask anybody involved in training or boxing at championship level .
Do you realize you haven't answered a single question I put to you , because you have no answer .
Yes. I've lost a debate where several are in agreement with me, yet none with you. I lost a debate where you still don't understand why the term "bum of the month" was coined. I've lost a debate where you've tried to rewrite history. :fing02: :lol1:
LMAO. This clown right here trying to save face.

And he named 2 guys that he thought were bums out of over 20 title defenses. Since he's a bufoon that doesn't know what he's talking about, he doesn't realize that:
Al Manfredo, his first selection (which wasn't even a title fight) was Armstrong's 15th or so fight that year. His 3 fights prior were:
Barney Ross - Hall of famer and CERTIFIED ATG. No question.
Lou Ambers - Hall of famer
Cerefino Garcia - Hall of famer
Three hall of famers defeated within a span of six months, in a year in which he fought 15 times and held titles in 3 different divisions (no junior divisions: Feather, Light and Welter). I mean damn, the guy was probably dog tired. And get this, he fought two of those hall of famers at a 15 pound ****in weight disadvantage.
You simply don't know what the **** your talking about cuz. Give it up.
You picked 3 good examples right there. Barney Ross was one of the first triple titleholders, light, light-welter, welter. Lou Ambers was Lightweight champ when Armstrong beat him, and Ceferino Garcia was a Welter challenger and Middles champ. When Armstrong drew with Garcia he weighed 139 against Garcia's 152. i always remember these figures.
Hey whatever makes you happy. Its better than sounding like I have no clue what Im talking about boxing on a boxing forum, because that's what you sound like son.
hahahahaha Very true!

I think they want you to register. When I login I have no problems.
That's interesting though. Here is the article in the NY Times:
LOUIS EXHIBITION TUESDAY;
Commission Approves Buffalo Bout
Sergeant Joe Louis, world heavyweight champion on furlough from the Army after overseas service, yesterday received permission from the State Athletic Commission to engage in an exhibition bout as part of his current tour. The exhibition will be against Johnny Davis, Brooklynite, in Buffalo on Tuesday night.

Well that newspaper excerpt should settle THAT !!. And I'm not so stupid after all, even though it's about 50 years since I read about it in RING. They always used to reprint their top articles and believe me, they were top. Their reporters ate, slept and drank boxing and all their spare time was spent at it. Thank you for finding it.
Yes, I see that they ask to log in,, but I've had so much computer trouble pressing the wrong keys at the wrong time that I hesitate to log into anything any more. My computer "skills" are inverse to my boxing memory.....sort of.
Hahaha , you sound like a girl .

They cant fight every 8 weeks against top comp for 2 yrs , lets kick off right there , Floyd is the best defensive fighter in the sport , he couldn't beat his last 14 opponents at the rate of one every 8 wks .
What Louis did is an undeniable fact.
Manny couldn't do it , Leonard , Hagler , Hearns , Ward , Ali , Duran , Frazier , Foreman , TOP COMP does not allow it .
Because they didn't doesn't mean they couldn't.
And you expect people to believe they can , argue your numbers kid and make them better because of it but your dead wrong .
I don't have to argue, history speaks for me.
Whats the point of comparing anything with your in a forum , we have already established your a bullsh1tter , I know you've done nothing with hands on boxing , what you say tells me .
Yeah, I know. Why don't you dazzle us with some of your gym wars!
LMAO. This clown right here trying to save face.

Be specific instead of coming with nothing but generalizations , show me any fighter that has 14 title defenses in 2 years , and then show me who they were and I, ll show you at least 12 low rent opponents that loses near as many as they win , they not contenders they glorified journeymen

OK. Henry Armstrong's welterweight reign from 1938-1940. Point to me 12 bums that have won as many fights as they lost.

Lol, ok I got it kid, you're the winner.....everyone agree's with you.....you've changed their minds with you incredible knowledge.....Floyd shoulb be considered the p4p GOAT and Louis should have his accomplishments erased from history.
Does that make you feel better? :lol1:
Hahaha , you sound like a girl .
Todays camps wouldn't be longer if fighters fought more frequently. And as has been already pointed out, "Bum of the month" was a term coined by a reporter because that how Louis made them look...just like Floyd did with Canelo. You can't change the facts and it upsets you, I understand.
Anytime you would like to compare experiences in boxing all you have to do is kick it off.
