Thanks anyway broski, but ya, that's how it is, young fans think these new guys would destroy guys from ten years ago. There's a reason why, even at their advanced boxing age, guys like Floyd, Bhop, cotto, PAC, are still fighting at a high level. They are that ****in good. Better than guys now. Even old ass zab Judah gave Danny a scrap, but, somehow, he's going to butcher a prime cotto? Ridiculous.
Look at one of the quotes on my sig. LOL
Cant green you again yet.

I like Danny but some of you guys never saw cotto in his prime, you've seen him now in his twilight or on YouTube with a bias based on how he is now. Garcia struggled with ****in morales because he's an og, Atg, same with cotto. Garcias never fought anyone remotely close to Miguelito, he'd box his face off.

Cotto works with his jab and fights smart I think he wins.
Thing is, at 140, Cotto wasn't a smart fighter. I think Danny cracks him and preys him on his ass tbh.
Cotto is probably one of my favorite fighters. I just think he was at his best at 147. His chin was exponentially better at 147.
If Cotto fought the Garcia that just fought Matthysse, I would have to favor Garcia.
When I said "Cotto murks Garcia", I was just shit talking a bit, like I tend to do with Cotto. :lol1:
I agree though, it would be a competitive fight. I just see Cotto's jab and underrated footwork being enough to get close to Garcia and land some body shots on him. Garcia will find opportunities to counter and he might stun Cotto, but Cotto's timing in his 140 days is at least on par with Garcia, if not better. Cotto's struggle to make the weight and the subsequent effect on his punch resistance could definitely play into Garcia's hands if it came into play.
Not refering to you. Refering to a poster who stated "They keep underrating Garcia. It's starting to make me mad." They seem to take it as a slight to Garcia if you pick 140 Cotto and I'm simply stating that's not the case.

Can't believe I'm going with Garcia. Before last weekend I would have picked Cotto but after witnessing how Garcia pulled off the victory against Lucas it made me respect him more. Cotto at 140 was never his best weight IMO. If he struggled with Ricardo Torres at that weight I think Garcia would do a lot better. Garcia by TKO or decision. Cotto would have some moments though.
Garcia's resume is already greater then Cotto's.
WTF is Cottos best win at 140? Miguel Pinto? Randall fucking Bailey? :lol1: none of these guys were even top 140 lbers or were ever favored to win against him.
Garcia already beat 2 top JWW's in Khan and Matthysse where he was the underdog. That alone sh1ts on anything Cotto has ever done.
