In your past have you ever been upset by your boxer that you backed in defeat?
Most recently the Canelo lose really made me upset, it was the first time he tasted defeat and even now it's sill upsetting to the point I dislike watch analysis' of the fight.
Roy getting knocked out by Tarver didn't necessarily hurt, but it haunted me. The strangest night ever as a boxing fan, and I'd do a lot to never have to feel like that again.
Trinidad being embarrassed by Winky Wright is probably the most hurt/upset that I've ever been. That fight was so frustrating because Tito wasn't really getting beat up, but he couldn't lay a glove on Winky all night. At the end, it didn't even feel like a fight had taken place, just a bull and matador show. That has to be Wright's all time greatest performance.
My heart feels heavy every time I watch
Tyson/Lewis
Cotto/Margarito 1
Morales/Barrera 3
DLH/Trinidad
Hagler/Leonard
I'll post more as they hit me. These are just off the top of my head.
Canelo losing to Mayweather was also tops on my list, I do feel bad about DLH and Cotto's loss to Floyd but not as upset as Alvarez losing far more by a wide margin to Mayweather.
Holyfield being stopped by Toney, I hate how Toney made a mockery out of the aging real deal.
And Tito Trinidad losing to Winky Wright, I got carried away when I post on ESB forum that Trinidad is gonna beat him next time and got a reply of what am I smoking:haha:
Hatton vs Senchenko really upset me, to the point that I easily could have cried.
The other that sticks out is Vitali vs Briggs. Why would a corner let someone keep taking a beating like that? That wasn't sport.
another thing that upsets me more than Roy Jones continuing to fight is James Toney continuing to fight. He was once a great fighter and is no doubt a future hall of famer but his old punchdrunk fat ass is just hurting his reputation at the moment.
September 29, 2001 was the saddest day for me in boxing,
I remember the Hopkin fans in the room laughing :nonono: it was horrible
that was the last time I watched a fight with a crowd of people now I watch them home with my botella de Ron
other fights that broke my heart:
Camacho/De La Hoya and Cotto/Margarito 1
Roy losing to Tarver and Johnson
Pac knocked out by Marquez
Hagler getting robbed against Leonard
I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that stick with me.
I've never been upset after a fight but I will say I would've been upset if Rigondeaux lost to Donaire.
I always have my pick for a winner but I also always want the best man to win.
Tyson vs Kevin McBride he quit on his stool
Klitschko vs Lewis bs there was no rematch
Didn't see it live but still have to name, Nigel Benn vs Gerald McClellan
the ref cost McClellan the fight, it should have been a 1st round KO.
Morales v David Diaz - because I felt Morales deserved the nod and I wanted to see him retire on top as a four weight world champion, little did I know he'd fight on for so long after.
Castillo v Alfonso Gomez - because I felt Castillo was too good to succumb to the shame of losing to The Retireminator.
Klitschko v Lewis - because Lewis escaped that fight by the skin of his teeth and showed not an ounce of humility afterwards.
Barrera v Marquez - because it was a great last hurrah for Barrera and Jay Nady screwed his chances of winning with some terrible refereeing in the 5th or 6th round or whenever it was.
Hatton v Mayweather - just because...
Pissed me off: All Robberies
Pac-Bradley
Bhop-Taylor I/II
Bhop-Calzaghe
Pac-JMM I
DLH-Tito
Lewis-Holyfield I
Burns-Beltran
Mayweather-Castillo I
Fights that hurt me:
Pac-JMM4
Roy-Tarver
Roy-Lebedev
Donaire-Rigo
the list goes on

PWill over Sergio (didnt have a problem with the win but one judge turned in a fixed card. no way did PWill win 117 - 111)
When linares lost to Demarco I was bummed out because if his face didn't fall apart he was boxing beautifully. That and then his follow up fight with Thompson I thought was a bs stoppage
Cotto marg was brutal but tbh I got a sadist sort of kick of cotto getting battered I know it's brutal but damn that was a hell of a fight. When Corrie Sanders beat Wlad, and Pac beat Margarito. I wasn't upset. In fact, I kinda got a sordid/morbid kick out of seeing both guys battered and beaten up good. #Humbled
When Naz lost I actually questioned being a fan of Boxing
I was sick to my stomach Seeing Pac go out like that but seeing him destroyed like that in front of an American audience made it even worse.
Roy Jones getting KTFO back to back. OH! and when Tyson got KTFO by Buster Douglas. THAT **** SUCKED
