The kid got outclassed he really did i was shocked by how the fight played out thought it was gonna be a little closer, Does this loss damage Canelos PPV rep, hes a young guy so i'm sure he can bounce back and win titles but will he still be a star and a draw
I suspect that Canelo will probably take the Molina fight first since it'll be a tune-up and if he KO's him get his confidence back while having the IBF Jr. Middleweight Championship. After that I can see him trying to entice Miguel Cotto for a PPV fight. Golden Boy right now is setting up their future PPV stars in Broner & Canelo and if they start having big time success Peter Quillin could take on a Canelo etc. to become PPV worthy.
I agree with the part where he fights for Molinas title, but if Cotto wins his next fight then his next fight is on hbo b and possibly against martinez. Now if theres a rematch between lara and angulo and angulo wins out then anyone with some common sense can see how that fight with a good undercard will get lots of attention. If broner v maidana can be a ppv then a possible canelo v angulo would probably be too. And if he beats angulo and lets say a year and a half from now, and floyds having trouble finding marketable opponents then a rematch would be an option. Probably reaching with the last part but could happen.

He can be a PPV star but I'm not sure how he will handle this setback. He was made to realise his limitations, which is not an easy thing to accept and come to terms with, he will probably need to spend a year realising that he can still be great/good without beating Mayweather.
losing to mayweather is no bad thing
he will go on to be a great mark my words :)
This!! I saw mayweather having to think a lot in that fight mainly due to sauls ring IQ. I believe the props he gave him at the end were legit. If Canelo goes on to dominate middle- lhw in the future this fight might be as important as pacquaio-ledwaba
fans don't care about losing. ever heard of oscar de la hoya? his popularity was at its peak when he sucked and lost every big fight. basically fans are pretty stupid. they keep buying floyd's fights even though he admits to ducking and cherry picking. they just don't care.
Absolutely.
Canelo is a very good fighter and the best at 154 not named Mayweather. He lost to the worlds best, big deal...Marquez, Mosley and other greats have been schooled just as badly. Canelo will get back on track, have a very good career and be a major star for the sport.

His overhype train is done.
That's the problem with facing Floyd. Even though, you're still expected to lose, and only he can dominate you like that, you still got dominated, and it's still a huge setback.
That's also the main reason to fight FLoyd ASAP. You already know you're gonna lose to him, might as well get all the money you can before you retire, and not lose your chance at him, before you lose to some other fighter.
